La Vallee is such a wonderful place to stay. Me and my partner were greeted warmly. We were shown to what we thought was just going to be a double room, turned out to be an amazing sized cottage which only cost us around €65 for the night. Wonderfully spacious bedroom with a massive, comfy bed. Two toilets and a whole living room just for us. Our French isn't very good and the owner was so sweet and went out of his way to try and communicate with us in English. This is the prefect place to stay, either just for a night or for your whole holiday. The owners are sweet and welcoming, there's a friendly ginger tabby cat and it's situated right by the river. Perfect.

What a gem! An old metal-working establishment owned and run by the 7th generation of the family, it has been lovingly restored and furnished with character and charm. Our hosts were delightful and made us very welcome. My wife and I had booked for one night only (28/6) but would willingly have spent longer there were we not obliged to continue our journey. If you are in or near Salbris, you would be foolish not to take the opportunity to stay here.

Host was friendly, our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK. There is a very short check window for check in 5-7pm so we were stressed about getting there on time after a long drive, Bathroom very dated and run down needs refurbishing. I booked through another site and can see that the property owner is unpleasant in response to. Less than favorable reviews. Since leaving a 5/10 review on the booking site they have left a negative review on my business page. I suspect t that this deters negative reviews. Overall this place is dated and overpriced, we do not recommend and would not stay again.

We easily found this delightful house on the bank of the river and received a warm welcome from the owner. Our bedroom turned out to be a suite of rooms all very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ready for us in the little dining area and was perfect. Parking is free and secure but do remember to turn left out of the gates as the road is one-way ! All in all a great place to stop and we are pleased we did.

Nous avions loué une suite pour 3 personnes (deux adultes et un ado) pour une nuit-étape et nous en avons franchement eu pour notre argent. Nous sommes logés dans une ancienne ferblanterie du 18ème siècle, réovée avec beaucoup de goût. La salle de bain est minuscule et le coin "cuisine" permet éventuellement le réchauffage de plats au micro-ondes, mais rien de plus. Salbris est idéalement située pour découvrir la région, la Sologne, que nous ne manquerons certainement pas de faire à une autre occasion. Je recommande sans hésitation !

Chambre spacieuse avec une déco rétro très sympa petit bémol le petit déjeuner très minimaliste du café transparent 2 croissants de la baguette avec confiture et beurre yaourt dépassé de date de consommation de 4 jours pas de fruits pas de jus de fruit c'est le petit déjeuner le plus simple depuis que nous allons en chambre d'hôtes. A corriger pour que ce soit parfait.
