Holiday Inn Huatulco

Found the Holiday Inn Huatulco conveniently located, clean, quiet, very close to the Santa Cruz beach and restaurants.

Well located hotel, spacious room. Close to the beach. Nice view from the room. The front desk staff could be nicer. Breakfast staff were brilliant. Swimming pool is ridiculous small and there are only a few spaces to relax. Internet is really poor, not even enough for a video call. Do not plan to work online from there. Overpriced.

The hotel was fine but the service was not good. They wanted to check our room before we checked out to make sure we didn't take anything. There was not a refrigerator in our room to store my son's milk. We got yelled at for eating pizza in the lobby after spending hundreds of dollars at the property. Breakfast had many options but was too expensive for the area. I had to reactive the room key five times. They need to get rid of their pointless rules. The guest is always right in the hospitality industry.

Great bed, good elevator, good food in restaurant, good location. Not good - small pool, a bit noisy, smoking area needs ashtray, and please put a good red wine in restaurant!

Great location and fantastic staff , friendly smiles and very helpful. The pool could be a bit bigger but really just fine for what we needed. The breakfast add on was well worth it. Great variety every day and some really delicious Oaxacan choices. Great location for touring around and having a central location.. we used the gym Oxygen down the road which we enjoy when staying in Santa Cruz. We are mid 40s and like to stay active so this was a great spot for us.

Overall a good stay. Clean property with a nice restaurant and view of the marina. Walkable location. Had to wait over 15 minutes to check in and the lady at the counter didn’t even acknowledge me while I waited. After a full day of traveling that was not a welcome I appreciate. The A/C unit in our room was also extremely loud and squeaky so we ended up turning it off so we could sleep. But the hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable so we would probably stay again.

Very friendly, clean resort hotel close to a lovely beach. Good restaurant with modest prices though the breakfast buffet is somewhat limited. Clean but small pool area with limited seating.

The Holiday was nice and clean, with good air conditioning and a fast elevator. The front staff was helpful, and the restaurant had good food, although it was a bit expensive.

Disappointed with our room. We requested the marina view and was obstructed by a large piece of concrete on main floor. We had booked our room 6 months in advance…breakfast service was very slow at the pool side tables. Bathroom floor and door rotting from water leaking out from shower. Bell boy service with our luggage was excellent.
