Horchem Hotel-Restaurant-Café-Bar

The hotel is central however you need to park in the public car park which is a short walk and 7 euros per night. We upgraded to a superior room (4) which gave us a bigger room with a river view. It had a large bed which was very comfortable. The hotel does need to move into this century! Only 2 of the 4 windows had secondary glazing which made it noisy - especially as it is opposite a church with a clock that chimes every 15 minutes. The bathroom had 2 sinks however the 3 lights above them were not working. We reported this and a member of staff came up with some bulbs but this did not resolve the issue. He advised they would be fixed the following day which didn’t happen - I suspect they had not been working for some time as whoever cleaned the room would have seen it when they cleaned the sinks. It wouldn’t have been so bad if there had been a mirror in the bedroom but the only mirror was in the bathroom. and you struggled to see what you were doing. The shower screen was so narrow the shower sprayed all over the floor. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. The breakfast was continental but they had scrambled eggs and sausages. They served you with tea/coffee. Internet is free with a good signal

Fantastic hotel and the owners are so awesome as is the staff. Super location and the restaurant is amazing. There’s no other place to stay in Monschau that comes close to the best place here. The rooms are updated and the bedding is very comfortable and clean.

Very good service, very nice and friendly management, A-location. Rooms however are a bit outdated. Bed was fine, but power outlets were inconvenienced placed (no outlets near the bed in my room). Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Fantastic location right in the center of the city. Very idyllic exterior. Staff was friendly, available and spoke English. Dinner and breakfast was average. Room was very large. We had a room with two bedrooms and a huge livingroom. The decor in the room was boring. No pictures on the wall, that was empty with only some old drill holes. Lacking shelves, hangers etc. Seemed somewhat unfinishes. There is a church next to the hotel. It chimes loadly. Also, there was people sitting outside drinking until late. The windows are old with no sound protection. Ear plugs were put on the pillows upon arrival. Cleaning was average. Generally clean but dusty under beds.

The best place in Monschau. My Family and myself had a wonderful stay at the hotel. We felt at home. Congratulations! We will highly recommend it.

The hotel is gorgeous and the location in Monschau is absolutely perfect. I had an amazing view of the lake and the church from my room. The breakfast could have been better, and the blankets were a bit small, but everything else was great.

Central location but not easy to find green space for our dog.

The best thing about this hotel is it’s location. It is right in the middle of the old town, perfect as a base for walking around. It has character in spades, but no elevator. The restaurant serves decent German food and the breakfast is quite good. You can stop in front of the hotel to unload bags, but you must then drive on to a pay parking lot about 200m away.

This is a really nice hotel in a great location in Monschau with a beautiful view from the balcony. A very unique hotel with great service, nice room and the hotel breakfast and restaurant were excellent.
