The Davenport has always provided a lovely respite. However, our last stay had us, as well as friends and family, reevaluating this choice for our next “staycation”. Initially there was simply a mix up (?) and we changed rooms. (We were told upon check-in that we were indeed able to stay in adjoining rooms with family. Then when taken to our room it was clearly not adjoining and we were told we could move but that our room had not yet been cleaned -this at 5:30 p.m.). Thought nothing of this. We waited and then moved. Walked to restaurant and had a great dinner. Finally when I went to go to sleep I discovered blood stained sheets. About 90 minutes later (now 11:00pm ish) someone knocked on the door and thrust a pile of bedding at me. I was so startled as we booked this stay as a break from everything including household chores. It is very odd to be tasked with changing your own sheets in a 4 star hotel.I asked what I was supposed to do with bloodied sheets and was told to throw them on the floor. I then changed the sheets and realized I had no pillowcases. It stands to reason that those had not been changed either. So once again a call to the front desk and while waiting for pillowcases my husband, exasperated as we wanted to sleep, went to the front desk to try and retrieve clean pillowcases. We stayed the weekend as planned with a pile of dirty sheets in the room. The spa was wonderful, the front desk people were friendly and responsive. The overall beauty of this historic hotel stands- though rooms were oddly empty (no place but the desk for room service). The rooms varied greatly. We were in three rooms during this visit and some were well appointed and others were not. Our room safe did not work-but I kind of gave up trying to fix things after the bedding incident. We paid the bill in full upon check out and left- likely never to return as CDA is close and provides a beautiful location for a break. This review makes me feel sad to write. Something is off here and I miss the old Davenport days.

Qualifier: Lifetime nights in Marriott properties 453, status Titanium, number of stays at this property dozens. Check in: Put us directly across from elevator - Fail We mobile checked in (never again) was not offered $10 F/B credit upon check in Was made to feel since we mobile checked in we didn't need hard keys (I have two kids that need hard keys) Generally put off as a bother Was recognized as Titanium but told that parking was complimentary because of that (it's not, it's free for everyone) Stay: Food line was extremely long in cafe one morning, the other was ok, food service was great by two of the three employees one was an order taker should be at a fast food restaurant This property used to be nice, but it's location adjacent to division means loud cars at all hours (that's a Washington state problem by not inspecting cars anymore) No housekeeping except upon request 3 pillows per queen instead of 4 no extra blankets Homeless people spotted twice in two days in the lobby Trail users park their cars during the day in prime spots, parking not enforced Premium internet is 20 down 20 up mediocre Moved rooms to avoid the elevator, again treated as we were asking for the world Poor water pressure 3 towels per room should be twice that especially with no housekeeping No bars of soap in Marriott's anymore (liquid body wash only) Upon checkout, when I asked to be granted my F/B credit, I was argued with and told I should have asked upon check in..... WHY? What possible reason could you give me, none. IS that noted in T&C's? If I was recognized as Titanium at check-in, the burden is on YOU, not the guest. Good: Provided free toothbrushes to the kids who forgot, food was cooked well Summary: Downtown Spokane is past it's prime with traffic, violence, homelessness, and now what used to be a terrific location and hospitable property is now just loud and dangerous, pinching pennies and forgetting why they are in the hospitality industry. Recommendation: SpringHill Suites by the airport is much better. Owner: Marriott International (corp owned?)
Great staff good food bacon eggs biscuits and gravy the rooms are big has a good kitchen equip with plates silverware pots pans nice hd TV's pool s the perfect temperature best motel I have stayed in a long time nice and quiet and comfy beds love this place
ゲゲストRoom was very attractive and well kept. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping is complementary but upon request which is actually a very nice feature. Tiny refrigerator in the TV cabinet and no microwave, but we were allowed to use the one downstairs at Starbucks.
If you are looking for a good place to sleep while passing through town, this place is good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were clean. There was lots of free parking. For the price there was not much for us to complain about.
