I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel..the room is so clean. All the staff are well trained and so nice..Special mention to Ryan who served our food..He is the best waiter, very professional and so kind..Kudos
I came to Riyadh for a few days only out of curiosity as flights from Budapest were so cheap I thought 'why not?. Not really knowing what to expect. I wanted to be in the downtown Olaya area but hotels there were in the £200 - £300 +++ range. Other than the IBIS which came in at £80 a night. The IBIS room was better than standard IBIS fare I have seen in the UK and Europe - ie larger, and better equipped with safe and tea & coffee making facilities. But what makes this hotel really stand out was the helpfulness and welcome of front of house staff. Nothing was too much trouble - and they were patient and courteous dealing with my various queries and requests, writing out place names in Arabic, explaining how to get to places, nearest places to buy water and snacks etc. The hotel's guests were overwhelmingly people on business rather than tourists. However, I can unreservedly recommend this hotel to visitors to Saudi Arabia travelling for tourism. I say this as a solo female traveller. Top tips: - there is an Asian run convenience store round the corner five minutes walk away that does not involve crossing roads!! - have tbe hotel breakfast as there's not much around by way of cafes etc (unless you go to a mall) - download the Kareem app (= Saudi Uber) for safe, convenient and cheap taxis - if you have a choice, avoid Room 122 as it was on the first floor and overlooked two air conditioning units and tbe wall 😉 - not that matters in the scheme of things. However, a room on a high floor with views of Kingdom Tower must be pretty awesome
SSteve HKOverall the room and experience was pretty good - big room, with washing machine, microwave and various other things. There wasn't much service, but I want really looking for any, just a place to stay. There wasn't much in the immediate area, but it seems you need to drive/everywhere in Riyadh anyways, so it's pretty centrally located thinking about that. A weird smell initially in the bathroom upon arrival, but that seemed to dissipate... Overall a pretty good option if you get a good deal!
Mmamacita1001 About one hour drive from airport. It is a proper hotel. As I usually stay B&B or guest house, it was a very cozy stay. I joined a group tour and Gloria inn was hotel while we stayed in Saudi Arabia. - Iron board - Safe - Flat TV - Bottled water/complimentary drinks - AC - Fridge - Huge closet - Wi-FI Wi-fi is good enough, but I couldn’t upload pictures into online photo album. I think it isn’t strong enough. Said that, it isn’t only Gloria Inn hotel but other hotels I stayed in other cities of Saudi Arabia. There are Starbucks coffee and small kiosk at the lobby. While I was in Saudi Arabia, I checked only 2 outlets of Starbucks coffee, so I can't be 100% sure but I would say ”Don’t expect sandwiches at SBC. They have only drink and sweets. There is fitness Center next to the restaurant on the 2nd level. Room service is available Laundry service is available Breakfast is plentiful. Served from 0630 Hotel doesn't do currency exchange service There is Lulu (Hyper Market) nearby. It is 5 minutes walking from hotel. It looks like there is nothing near the hotel but once you get to the building of Lulu, you will find a lot.
