Hotel Milano

Hotel - not a 4 star hotel at all, reception staff rude, not friendly, not helpful, disrespectful. No duvets in the room to sleep under only sheets, when asked for a duvet I was laughed in my face and was told there is no duvets in the hotel, there was old blanket provided without any cover, that's disgusting. Spare Pillows in the wardrobe had pillow cases not changed, someone was sleeping on them and they haven't been changed. Windows terrible state, during thunderstorm they nearly came out with the frames, dark room, no ceiling light. No kettle for a reason to buy drinks at the bar instead. Flush toilet broke. You can hear neighbours through the wall. Food - breakfast tasty but all the same every, day, dinner - not bad but repeat able, salads all the same every day, bread buns from the freezer not fresh, a hot drink for dinner was chargeable €10 per tea pot, disgrace. Why during breakfast tea is free but dinner is not. Don't buy any drinks from the bar, it's rip off €5 for a bottle of water and only 30 cents in the supermarket which is round the corner, very good selection of everything and prices lower than uk. They only take cash at reception because they do not register it anywhere and don't pay tax on it. Maderno is really nice location, but need a car really to explore the area as not much to visit or see in Maderno itself. There are so many hotels around and I would definitely look for anywhere else if I went again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is in the best position in the resort. Right on the lake and ferry terminal. The staff are lovely . Very friendly always a smile when walking in. We had a superior room overlooking the lake and it was breathtaking the view. Gorgeous little pool , set in beautiful gardens and sun beds with comfy mattresses on. Service around the pool was good with a lovely terrace with seating over the pool. Ferry terminal outside of the hotel with a lovely coffee shop overlooking the lake. A few restaurants around but other than that it was a very quiet resort. You could walk round the lake for miles on a nice flat walk way to the neighbouring resort , this is where they had a market. Our rooms were basic but had everything except a kettle so we ordered tea for 2 but this was 5 euro a cup. Shower was really good and very hot. The only thing was the evening meals were awful. Only about 7 dishes in total to choose from and poor quality pasta etc. salad on the side and only 1 dessert each evening with no cream or ice cream. We ate out while we were there so didn’t bother us too much but if you hadn’t budgeted to eat out I would have been upset by the evening meal. Breakfast was good with the addition of Prosecco . Overall a lovely stay and would go back.

Was a bit worried about our stay due to lack of reviews on this hotel for 2024. However we were pleasantly surprised. We booked a package through TUI, the hotel was clean and the room we had looked over Lake Garda which was an amazing view with a balcony. The bed was comfortable and the air-con was great. Staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating considering check out was 11am but our pick up time wasn’t until 3pm, we were still able to lounge by the pool and store our bags until the pick up time. The only small things were that there is only two sockets in the room. One in the bathroom and one right next to the door, you can’t open the door if something is plugged in here with an adaptor. The WiFi wasn’t good at all in our room. Could do with more people serving drinks during dinner service as only one member of staff seemed to do this and the others just tidied up. We had finished our meal by the time we got offered drinks , so for the rest of the stay we went to the bar to get drinks and brought them with us. Service at poolside and bar was great.

Absolutely disgusting service at this hotel , tui should be ashamed advertising this. Reception owner rude, restaurant person in charge is rude , Beware of bar bill totally ripped off fishrace we not given prices or to pay daily no idea what paying what you had. Food is disgusting slop thrown in trays, room disgrace no balcony, plugs hanging off walls, area ok nothing around, avoid at all costs, advise staying in sirmione .

This is a no go. Restaurant Manager? is a rude man and he insulted my wife. I thought I would wake up to find a horse's head in my bed. this hotel serves S... food and beware they do not advise the contents of food. If you have an allergy, you could be in serious trouble as they do not label food or cater for You. You have to pay your bar tab in cash the night before you depart but you do not know what drinks you have had as they do not give receipts. and check your bill as they add on things you never had. The Hotel is in a great spot but anything else is s.... Please avoid this place and book somewhere else. We Went with TUI and spent £2500 + but will never book through them again. You have been warned.

Hotel basic, reception blunt & not helpful, be aware they will not accept card only pay cash at end, Food appalling & cold , expensive drink, room basic & small with no view no balcony, otherwise clean, area quiet nothing around 2 bars 5 mins walk , train easy to use from brescia, bus stop few mins walk, bus is nightmare from 4pm onwards often get stuck in areas had to pay for taxi desenzano back to hotel no buses . Other area to visit sirmione & malcesine I'd recommend staying in one of them areas rather than maderno.

This hotel was lovely and ideally situated right next to the bus stop and ferry port. There were only 5/6 restaurants to choose from in resort all were lovely, it is very quiet here you can walk along the lake to Toscolano which is quiet too, market day was pretty good (think it was Thursday) great as a base for exploring other towns on the lake though. Breakfast was very nice and if you asked you could have boiled eggs aswell as scrambled which is at the buffet, buffet was ok with lots to choose from and nice coffee. If you like wine don’t buy it in the hotel as very expensive there is a supermarket around the corner which sells lovely wine starting from a couple of euros a bottle. We had a lovely stay at this hotel with a fab view, a little too quiet though especially on an evening maybe in peak season it would be just right.

We truly loved our 3-night stay at Hotel Milano! The location was great - a short drive to Salo and had walkable shops and restaurants. We felt very safe in this hotel, as well. It was very quiet. We booked the "Superior, Lake View, Balcony" room and it had a great sized bedroom and bathroom. My husband is very tall, and the shower was the perfect size for him! The hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating and always present. The hotel came with complimentary breakfast, and it was wonderful - so many options! We also got to spend an afternoon by the pool, and it was delightful - wonderful views and landscape!
