ポデーレ ディ モイアタ(Podere di Moiata)

Podere di Moiata is a unique and memorable place. Traditional Tuscan architecture marries modern technology in this gorgeous facility overlooking the Mugello Valley. Peace, tranqulity, olive groves, great hikes, authentic Italian country living, only 45 minutes away from all the Florence wonders. Podere di Moiata sits above, and just a 5-munite scenic walk down the hill to its sister property - world-renowned Villa Campestri, where I enjoyed a delicious, varied, Mediterranean breakfast in the company of other guests - families, business travelers, Gen Z couples and retired folks. And of course, you can have a memorable culinary experience for dinner as well, and bathe in the Oleoteca tradiiton of their premium olive oil - Olio di Cosimo, sprinkled on everything they serve. My room was spacious, spotless, beautifully-decored with Tuscan tile and furniture, and with a top-of-the-line sauna perfect for unwiding after hiking the local woods or museum-strolling in Florence. I also felt completely independent from the other guests as everyone enjoys their own and private part of the facilities and grounds. You can definitely feel that this a a family-owned resort, wih a friendly, professional, caring, inclusive and experienced staff. You will remember the way you felt after staying at Podere di Moiata. Special (I felt that I was their only guest...), rested, happy and with a sense of having just spent some time in a slice of paradise on earth. What a treat!

We spent a couple of nights at Podere di Moiata and this has been a fantastic experience. The rooms are very spacious and beautiful. Every room has his own theme which determines the base colour used in the whole room: for the beautiful tiles in the bathroom, furniture such as chairs and other decorative items. The style is really impressive. A lot of attention has been given to every detail, with decorative items everywhere which add to the a**osphere. While the room has a traditional authentic style, there is also lots of modern comfort: airconditioning, large TV, very good wifi Internet connection, USB-ports to charge your mobile devices, automatic light switch on when you open the door,... Depending of the room there is a private sauna or hammam in the bathroom and a small kitchen. The environment is very quiet and there is a magnificent view over the Tuscan landscape. There is also ample parking space for your car. There is a swimming pool at its sibling Villa Campestri, which can be reached by car or a walk though the olive gardens. You can also have breakfast and dinner there in the excellent restaurant with its terrace with magnificent view over the garden. Villa Campestri is also the place where you check-in and out and where you can get all information and help you need from the amazing and friendly owners and staff. This is an excellent choice for enjoying a relaxing and quiet vacation in a private apar**ent. You can also book larger appar**ents consisting of different rooms so this seems also a great place for larger families and groups.

Reservation was canceled without an explanation which put us in a very problematic situation. Unfortuanetly, the hotel's staff was not cooperative and, in some cases, rude. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel canceled the reservation (made through **********) 4 days before arrival leaving us with three little kids in a foreign country, trying in to book another hotel in the area in August. It was done through a short email citing “system error” and asking me to call ********** and cancel by myself (it was a non-refundable booking, so I couldn’t cancel by myself online). Not a professional behavior at all, especially that in the time of booking the room was listed also on their own website and on Airbnb!

Non conoscendo questo posto è stata una vera scoperta. Location migliore è difficile trovare, eppure ho viaggiato tanto, stanze super pulite e confortevoli. Una bella gita per festeggiare il mio anniversario di matrimonio 😁
