We had a pleasant stay at this guesthouse. Note that this is a guesthouse (bed and breakfast), not a full service hotel, hence the affordable price. It is a great option for those who prioritize getting out and about while in the Lakes District. The owners are very personable and made great recommendations. Although I don't personally care for full English breakfast, Rob was kind enough to still offer toast and coffee which was much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean and I found the decor quaint. The location is a short 10 minute walk from the train and bus station and central to the rest of the village. It is a 25-30 minute walk to the lake with sidewalks the whole way.

Such a warm inviting place to stay. Rob and Tanya are so gracious and welcoming. They go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Rob’s breakfast is delicious. Autumn Leaves is on a quiet street in Windermere village center and makes a great home base for exploring the Lake District. I like that the bus and train station and tourist information is just a short walk up the hill by the grocery store, Booths. And this guest house is just a few steps away from shops and restaurants. I highly recommend Autumn Leaves.

Me and my partner stayed at this lovely guest house in May. We are already planning on returning in July!! Rob greeted us at the front door and made us both feel very welcomed throughout our stay - nothing was too much trouble. The room/bathroom was spotless and very comfortable bed. Also tea/coffee facilities which was a great touch. The guest house is in a fantastic location - the village is literally on your doorstep. For the price compared to other guest houses close by I would absolutely recommend this one and will be returning very soon again. Thanks again Rob and the team 😁

The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. There are several restaurants and a few supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient. The host was very friendly and provided a lot of help. We had a pleasant and unforgettable four-day stay here.

Best Guesthouse in the Lake District! I make trips to the lakes one to twice a year as a getaway. I wouldn’t go anywhere else other than Autumn Leaves guesthouse Rob and Tanya are the best hosts anyone could possibly ask for I suffer from Cerebral Palsy down my right side which means I can sometimes struggle especially in the mornings and Rob kindly brought my breakfast to my room due to my disability and make that extra effort which really means a lot. The breakfast is the best I’ve ever had anywhere so didn’t surprise me to know that Rob has cooked breakfast for royalty in the past and I may add a very reasonable price as well. Another great stay and I will be rebooking again very soon a great guesthouse and even better hosts couldn’t have had a better experience

Lovely bed and breakfast right in the heart of Windermere hosts Rob and Tanya who are very accommodating to guests needs . Breakfast was great and filled us up for the day Location is approximately 100 metres from the main hustle and bustle of windermere Main Street Ample parking available on surrounding streets or car park opposite the B&B (payable- bit to be expected in lakes) !!

Disappointing as the room we had initially was in need of update, very tired and extremely small. Springs gone in mattress, broken window hinge and blind, no covering on one window, toilet didn’t flush properly, water didn’t run away in sink. Generally below standard. Changed rooms after 2 nights and that room was much improved, although still very small. On a plus the side location is great.

Booked a couple of days away with my teenage son to climb helm crag and stayed at this lovely guest house the rooms were really clean the location is perfect and the host we’re really friendly will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in the Lake District
