Definitely one of the best places to stay at with just a 10-minute walk to the stadium. Staff were friendly and kind as they were willing to help me get transportation and order food. Will come back!
KKenny K.This accommodation is similar to homestay/rented room for budget travellers or long term worker. However we were given a big room at the front portion where the window can dry our clothing. The homestay is walkable (about 10-12 minutes) to the local bus terminal and the Chengxi LRT station which has train (picture 3) runs from Haikou city centre (picture 1) to the Milan airport. However, the exit and entry of the LRT station is at the opposite lane (a huge new shopping mall) where you have to cross over the highway on the overhead bridge. So those with heavy luggages will need to carry it up the overhead bridge. Freelance travellers can easily use the 3 different routes of Haikou hop on and hop off buses (picture 2) for sight seeing around the area.
Additional, Milan international airport is one of the cheapest entry point from Singapore and Malaysia by using low cost airlines and it provides free accommodation for transit passengers.
HHannah:)Great place to stay! I’d recommend staying on the island because you can enjoy the activities a little bit longer and watch the sunset! This is a great option for budget conscious travelers who want to do so! The bunks were large and the room was spacious. I didn’t have any problems with hot water. The bathrooms were clean and spacious as well! There were some bugs (ants, small bugs) on the bottom bunk, but you’re staying on an island in the forest… so you should expect something like that. They didn’t bother me while I slept, and there really were not a lot of them. I saw maybe 5-10 my whole stay. If you’re concerned about bugs, perhaps choose a top bunk if available.
