This may be my favorurite hotel of all my travels so far. It’s set in an authentic Qing Dynasty building in a beautiful, quiet village. In the evening, the hostess picked us up at the village gate with a lantern, and when we arrived there was tea and a fireplace waiting in the lobby.
The rooms are beautifully designed, and the hotel is full of cozy sitting areas, tea tables, and small corners to relax, you really feel immersed in old China. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, as were their house-distilled rice wines.
The next morning, the hostess gave us a guided walk through the village and then arranged a driver who turned out to be more of a guide. He took us to several villages and stunning viewpoints for the rest of the day and again the following morning.
January is a wonderful time to visit if you come well before Chinese New Year: the area is very quiet, and you get a real sense of everyday local life. It is cold, so dress warmly. The rooms have heaters and heated blankets, but the other areas of the hotel—and in the villages themselves—are unheated.
We will definitely come back.
the hotel was great, nice atmosphere, architecturally quaint, comfortable and clean. the little village it is in is very quiet, takes about 2hours to walk around and see the whole thing. everything is closed by 9.

Cc.llauraaI really recommend you to stay here if you plan to go to Sanqing Mountain. You can go to Sanqing Mountain by shuttle bus. You just need to wait for the bus as early as 7.30 a.m in front of this inn. Which is only cost you 4 yuan for return trip! The owner are so friendly and helpful. They help me to stop the bus. And also help me to wash and dry my clothes. They are very kind! You don’t have to worry about food. The grandmother can cook for you. The food are very delicious! Very worth the price. I miss it already. I will definitely stay here again if I come again. Thank you for making my stay very comfortable!
Sseb75Superb homestay!
The location is perfect, right at the center of the village, and gives you the opportunity to explore Likeng at dusk, when tourists are few.
The room is elegantly furnished, with many items made of carved wood. Everything worked fine, including the AC and the hot water. It is also sparkling clean, on a par with Western hotels priced 700+.
The owners are fantastic, picking you up from the ticket area and willing to spend time on their translator to fulfill your needs.
The only drawback is the mattress, which is hard even by local standards.
