For the price you can’t complain, bathroom was slightly small but room was big enough. Really clean and the woman receptionist was friendly.
Can either pay £10 next to the property for the day or pay £7 in the churches car park.
We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff.
When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard.
Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub.
Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.
Tje room jad everything we needed. Could have been perfect with bery little attention as paint and chrome peeling off of things in the bathroom, but didn't affect the cleanliness.
Bed was comfy and sheets cleaned well.
The hotel has a little café for the morning, but also the pub next door is great for food.
Hotel just outside the train station, but still modern, clean, smells really good. Front desk staff was great, room with great size and comfortable. Nice bed, cozy, good amenities, including a Nespresso machine in the room. Breakfast was good and plenty. Great stay overall!
LLunaBunnyThe location is great, but everything else is quite old and worn out. The service was quite bad, we did not have any towels or water bottles in our room. Upon asking, they said we are ‘supposed’ to get the towels from the receptions. And only the rooms with a fridge will have water bottles. Did not even offer to let us buy any bottles. As it was quite late when we realised we did not have any bottle of waters, luckily found a Co-op in 5 mins distance closing soon, we had to grab them from there.
The room had a partial sea view. But the bed was so noisy and squeaky even with the slightest movement. All the other furnitures were very old, no charging or plug points beside the bed.
If not for location, because the beach is quiet in front of the hotel, i wouldn’t have even considered it ever again.
One good thing about it was the swimming pool, it was very clean but the changing rooms could have been much better.
I have booked through Trip.com previously, so I know it has nothing to do with internet or 3rd party booking, it is just a very old hotel. And the pictures are quite deceiving.
ゲゲストWe visited this place with friends, 5 of us, and got a great service for 5 people in 2 different rooms. We shared one toilet. We paid 118 quids for service which is quite nice for 5 people staying for a night. As we were visiting the Blackpool pleasure beach and carrying backpacks would have been difficult so we requested the hotel staff to keep our luggage while we checked out and were gone out for the entire day, and thankfully they agreed. All in all I loved the overall service, highly commendable.
ゲゲストomg from the moment I walked in i was attended to nothing was to much trouble i had a sea view double room there was a act on downstairs very loud was worried about the house but never heard a thing the decor is a bit dated but the friendliness of the staff and yhe feel of the hotel made up for that I had a fantastic stay it does just what it says on the tin I will definitely be goung back
ゲゲストIn my opinion It’s a basic b&b at best it’s a 3*
Lots of coaches come here so pretty busy.
Be aware even if your itinerary says parking that does not mean it’s been paid. It’s an additional £3
Also I didn’t get the lady’s name at reception who booked us in but she was pretty blunt and rude.
The rest of the staff throughout was fantastic.
ゲゲストI've stayed at the imperial hotel in Blackpool many times and I like it and think it's good value for money. Yes it is an old hotel and most hotels now cost alot of money to up keep and pay staff.so I think for what your getting with a nice old fashioned bath and plenty of hot water is very good.
MMatthew CharlesVery clean room. Amenities were excellent and staff helpful. Despite emails suggesting I needed an app for the key to the property I was provided with a key card, which I preferred. Excellent value.
ゲゲストPamela & Peter were great making sure I had everything I needed, including car parking availability. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was basic but hot. I didn’t use the tv & nearby chair but they were available. The breakfast was good & I had a very tasty home-made steak pie & veg one evening. Plenty of pubs and curry restaurants nearby.
ゲゲストnice place. a little bit you get the feeling that this is a particular kind of investment opportunity for whoever owns it - buy an old Travelodge, operate it for a number of years with minimal maintenance until you run it into the ground and sell the place.
