I had a fantastic time at this charming spot! The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist, making me feel right at home. I especially loved the beautiful gardens, which provided a perfect escape to relax and enjoy nature.
Hello I’m Jeans. I’m from Thailand. This hotel is very nice, cleanliness. All facilities is modern. If you looking for cheaper price and everything is good. It’s also located near Wangxiangu Valley. All staff (aunties and sister) support very well in every way! Let’s come this hotel everyone trust me!!
We had an amazing stay at this homestay ! The location is strategic, situated right along the main road of the nearest village to Wangxian Valley Scenic Park. Despite being in a busy area with many shops nearby, the homestay is surprisingly quiet, thanks to it good soundproofing, ensuring us a peaceful rest.
The room was exactly as shown in the pictures—very clean and well-maintained. What truly set this homestay apart was the exceptional hospitality of the lady boss and her brother. From the moment we made our booking, she was incredibly responsive on WeChat, answering all our questions and even arranging a transfer from the high-speed rail station to the homestay.
Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a free room upgrade, allowing us to stay in side-by-side rooms for the convenience of taking care of my elderly father. We arrived quite late, around 9 PM, yet we were warmly welcomed with a thoughtful gift set, including a packet of milk and some bread—such a kind gesture from the owner.
During our stay, we were also invited to join the local Chap Goh Mei celebration, which was a fantastic cultural experience for us. Breakfast was provided through vouchers, allowing us to try delicious meals from different nearby shops on both mornings.
Another highlight was the free shuttle service to Wangxian Valley. The lady boss’s brother was incredibly prompt—whenever we called, he arrived within minutes. Upon checkout, we received a beautiful set of bowls as a farewell gift, which was a lovely touch.
We were from Malaysia. This was our first time traveling free and easy in China, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The warmth and generosity of the hosts made our trip truly memorable. By the way, the lady boss also able to communicate in English. I believe this well make communication easy for those English speakers. Really highly recommended!
The owner is very nice. We communicated via Wechat and the translation in the app helps the communication went through perfectly. The location is very nice as it's only 5 minutes drive to Wangxiangu and the owner was ready to drop us off and take us back just by texting him. We stay on the second floor. The amenities there are all we need. I like that there is a heater in the bathroom so that we don't get too cold while showering. The owner's mom took care of our breakfast. She cooked yummy dishes for us including hot vegan noodle soup which helps warming our body in a cold morning.
However, the bathroom's sink is clogged with something that looks like leftover or vomit...so we tried not to use the sink.
The worst thing of our stay is the transportation between Shangrao Station to the hostel. The owner offered us a pick-up and drop-off services which we will get a lower rate from the regular taxi service, so we accepted it. He didn't mention that it's going to be a shared ride until we found out ourselves that we needed to take a ride with 4 more people in the van, however, we're ok with that because of an affordable rate. Then we found it the worst riding experience in our life. As Shangrao is a small city with 2 lanes all along, the driver had always been trying to get ahead of the cars in the front and hitting his horn throughout 1 hour to the hostel which almost caused the accident. I was praying all the way. Nevertheless, on our trip back to Shangrao Station, the same driver took us there with his same style of driving and eventually an accident occurred! Our car was hit by another and we almost missed our train to another city. We almost had no doubt why we get hit Lol. The good thing is the driver called another car(with full of passengers) to pick up up to the station. We like the hostel but sadly we don't think we will ever go back to this city again...such a lift-time experience we got.
EElsbethHaThe hotel is very close to the valley, and the host personally drove us there and even arranged for someone to pick us up afterward. This was incredibly helpful, as things can get quite chaotic when leaving the valley in the evening. The host was extremely kind and helped us with everything we needed.
The village itself is a perfect base — it has a very relaxed vibe with plenty of restaurants and terraces to eat at, though there isn’t much else to do. The hotel rooms are modern, spotlessly clean, and stylishly minimalist with nice details. Do bring earplugs, as it can be a bit noisy at times.
Overall, this hotel is the perfect base if you’re planning to visit Wangxian Valley
WWHUThis is our third week travelling through China. Our stay at Wuli Shanshui Wenquan Dujia Jiudian. Mentioning the full name of this hotel pretty much gives you a full description of what you will likely experience. A lot of good value for money!
The hotel is situated at the bank of a river and behind the river you will see beautiful forested hills. Early in the morning and late in the afternoon you will hear the birds singing.
Your stay in this hotel comes with free entrance tickets to the hotpools, each with its own theme. You have the Danggui, the Red Wine, the Green Oasis, the Milk and Red Vinegar pools. We spent about 10 minutes in each of them. Relax, take time to have the body adjust to the temperature. I sat on the side with only my legs and hands under water. Later I let my body slide into the water fully. That night I slept like a baby and this morning I had a smooth soft skin, like a baby 😁
The rooms are fully equipped with all necessities and the reception was very helpful. We got a fruit basket as a welcoming gift.
Unfortunately there was no restaurant service but the reception helped us to order in lunch and dinner from a nearby restaurant. All we had to do was to pick from the menu and send the order to the reception via Wechat. For a modest fee our lunch, dinner and cold beers were delivered to our room 👍
The breakfast buffet offered great variety with fresh Ginseng fruit and mini tomatoes.
We liked it here so much that we booked a second night.
There is so much to explore in the neighbourhood with the beautiful old villages of Likeng and Wangkou nearby.
Thank you! 🙏
I honestly can’t recommend this hotel enough. Private pick up from shangrao station. Owner meet us when we arrived the hotel, carried our bags upstairs. Beautiful clean room, comfortable beds, nothing was too much of issue. Driven to Wangxian Valley and picked up later that same night. Breakfast is included ( we declined. Not breakfast people ) private transport back to Shangrao station.
Wangxian valley is breathtaking, it’s purely spectacular. Off season would be my choice to go, we went on Sunday in January and crowds light. Go late afternoon before the sun sets the real magic happens when it gets dark.
The only place to stay.
Pros: The owners of the hotel were simply amazing! They respond very quickly through WeChat and helped my friends and I get an equal bus ticket ride (30 RMB per person) from Shangrao Station to their hotel via drivers (师傅), which was only about an hour drive. They also provided a free car service from the hotel to the Wangxian Valley entrance, which was only like a 5-8 minute drive, and back. The rooms were very spacious, the natural lighting was beautiful and while not actually on a side of the mountain, the view wasn't all too bad. We were provided 2 body towels, 2 face towels, shampoo, body wash, 2 tooth brushes and paste packs, 2 slippers, 2 shower shoes, a bit of toilet paper and water bottles. The lady owner was very okay with us arriving earlier than check-in time and even offered us another room since only one of our rooms was ready. Luckily, my group had some decent Chinese, but in case you don't you can use WeChat to communicate and it should work out fine. When we checked out and wanted to explore, we were able to leave our things behind without worry.
Cons: The beds were a little dirty. One of the rooms beds were a bit too firm for our liking. There was no conditioner or handsoap. We had four people to a room, but only sets of items (luckily, we just had to ask for more and that wasn't a issue). No breakfast is provided (but there are great restaurants nearby not too big of an issue for us).
