Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too.
A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away.
AAlondra Abundes CClean, spacious hotel, good location, about 10 minutes walk from the train station. It has elevator, hot water, wifi and air conditioning.
The only sad thing is that the bed is not very comfortable.
ゲゲストGreat stay just around the corner of the old street in Jiufen! Takes about 2 flights of stairs to reach the entrance so be aware before you book (as it would be hard to navigate with alot of luggage). Lovely home and very spacious! There is no actual stove or cooktop but they do have a food heating electrical system setup...i didnt use but it is available.
Highly recommend for the location and the peaceful vibes. Check in and out was super smooth!
ゲゲストThe property is pretty clean although the place is a bit dated. The environment is serene, near to attractions, such as, Qingjing Farm Hehuanshan. There is also a convenience store within walking distance. If the camping patrons could be a little more quiet, the place would be even more perfect.
