Necessary stop. Fun, somewhat touristy, shopping off this main drag. Stop here for fresh STROOPWAFELS (about halfway through the market, on the south side of the street, white tent) and cheap Birkenstocks (50-65 euro). Definitely worth a visit.

I have lived near the Albert Cuyp Market for more than 20 years. It is a great place to stroll on any given day. There's a lot of stuff to be bought, varying from household items to sporting goods to some really dutch treats like pickles and stroopwafels. Take at least three hours to take it all in.`

You must visit this, Albert Cuyp Markt is out of the range of most of the tourists which makes this very special. Located on De Pijb (the trendiest neighborhood of Amsterdam nowdays.
