The City Tower in the Old Town Hall of Innsbruck is the symbol of the Old Town. It is 57 meters high. It is the best way to experience the charming scenery of the mountain city. The golden roof in the picture below is the shadow of the city tower.

The small tower is a famous landmark in Innsbruck. Originally a military fortress, the tall tower is a watchtower to observe the military situation around. Now, it has become a monument to experience the cultural characteristics of Bavarian city-states during the warlord separatist period.

The city tower was originally a watchtower, and there were cells on it. It was rebuilt in 1560, replacing the spire with a small dome, removing prisons and lookouts, and now becoming a famous tourist attraction. You can also see Bergisel's ski platform in Mount Bergisel, the jumping platform of the Winter Olympics that year.
