It was not until 1850 that the statue of General Jackson, the sculptor Clark Mills in 1856, stood on the square. It was the world's first horse-riding statue, with two front feet running overhead. There are jazz band performers, street entertainers, improvisers and tourists in the park of Tengsheng Nature Square.
