Simatai Great Wall is one part of the Great Wall of China, located between Miyun County in Beijing and Luanping County in Hebei Province. It is the most dangerous section of the Great Wall, looking east at the Beijing Tower, West to Houchuankou, a total length of 5.4 kilometers. The Great Wall was built in the Northern Qi Dynasty. The existing buildings were built in the Ming Dynasty. The Great Wall is divided into East and West sections by Yuanyang Lake, with 16 and 19 enemy buildings respectively. Because the Great Wall is connected to the Jinshanling Great Wall in the west, many hikers like to visit the two Great Wall together. The reason why the Great Wall is famous is not only dangerous, but also that it can keep the original appearance of the monuments better after renovation. The Great Wall of Simatai was listed on the World Heritage List in 1987 and belongs to the state-level key cultural relics protection unit.
