Creighton's Cottage is a self-contained cabin situated near the mouth of the Paturau River. It's a basic kiwi bach that provides a comfortable, warm base for anyone wanting to explore the beautiful west coast of Golden Bay. The cabin can accommodate up to six people, with two double beds and two single beds. Bring your own bedding (pillows provided).The kitchen includes an oven/stove, a microwave and a fridge/freezer, and the bathroom has a shower, vanity and washing machine. The Lavatory is a good old kiwi long drop, but one with style and a view! There is no phone or internet reception at the cabin, but a three-minute drive up the road will reconnect you with the outside world. Relax with a book in the shady bush or take a gentle stroll to our glorious, famous golden sandy Little Kaiteriteri beach, and the Abel Tasman is right on our doorstep. Try the kayaks around the Bay. Motueka is less than twenty minutes drive away. Enjoy mountain biking or the new bike trail to Nelson. Enjoy a barbeque on the lovely deck with sun and views. Pets are allowed with prior approval. The property is fenced in the backyard. The cleaning fee is $80 per stay. We provide duvets, duvet covers, blankets, teatowels, bathmats, and hand towels. Totara Bach is located at Tata Beach, Golden Bay. Sleeping 8 people this is a kiwiana style Bach that has plenty of character and a great place to come and relax. With ocean views and less than a minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy a day at the beach, have an outdoor shower to wash the salt off, open a beverage on the deck enjoying the sunset. Challenge the kids to a game of pool in the games room down stairs whilst the bbq is cooking. From surfing and kayaking. To walking the Wainui Falls track just a 12-minute drive away, to exploring Abel Tasman National Park just a 34-minute drive away. Only 7km's to Motueka township and 20km's to Kaiteriteri beach.There is a full kitchen so you can cook your meals if you wish too. There is also a clothes washing machine in the bathroom so if you have been away from home for a while you can get your clothes all nice and clean again during your stay.In addition to the guest suite there is a deck for your personal use which can be accessed by going round the front side of the property and along the footpath in front of the unit. Situated in the tranquil Dovedale valley on a property steeped in history, this cottage offers visitors a unique getaway destination - a chance to relax and unwind in the old wooden rocker on the verandah, entertained by birds and the hum of bees, in well kept park like grounds, with a ponding feature incorporating a natural stream separating the cottage from the owners "Villa".Upper Moutere village is only a 15 minute drive away for stores, cafe, takeaways the local pub, tennis courts, gym,10km from the Motueka river which offers great fishing, swimming, rafting, etc. with both Kaiteriteri and Tahunanui beaches within a 40 min drive. Nelson lakes and Rainbow ski field in one direction, Takaka, Golden Bay the other, Mt Arthur and the tablelands in another, all are near enough for a great day out. Art and craft galleries, wineries and cafes, golf links, horseriding, cycle trails, whatever the interest, there is something near by for everybody.Special conditions: Dogs are allowed by negotiation. As we are a working farmlet, they may need to be restrained, and we ask that they be kept outside. There is good verandah weather protection.
