I have visited Tokyo many times over the years but have seldom considered staying in Asakusa. Staying at the Red Planet opened my eyes, because it is so conveniently situatied for moving around Tokyo. The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the Asakusa Tsukuba Express line, which takes you to the north to the Yamanote circle line; or walk 8-10 minutes to the famous Sensoji Temple and pick up the Ginza subway line at Asakusa station headed to Shibuya. And even if you won't be travelling all around Tokyo, Asakusa itself is a very interesting and historic place. Now for the Red Planet itself, the staff (English-speaking) is very helpful, and the rooms are quite spacious in comparison to a similarly priced Japanese business hotel. Pajamas and slippers are provided; the rooms have small but convenient refrigerators; the WiF signal is strong. A very pleasant stay.

Clean, inexpensive hotel within walking distance to a variety of shops and restaurants. Room is cleaned by 3 pm each day (new sheets, towels, ammendities). Station is close to akihabara, skytree, tokyo tower.
