Note: I did try to contact management of this hotel to discuss the issues with my room. Mr Hernandez never responded after multiple messages. Management is not available during the weekends at this hotel. The room was very dirty with greasy and crusty bed toppers and pillows. The carpet had multiple smears of food or some kind of white spots. The air conditioner did not work and the tv did not work. The front desk sent a maintenance guy but he could not get the a/c to work properly. Also, the room had a very musty, mildew smell. On the positive side,bathroom was reasonably clean. I was traveling with my dogs and do not expect to have the nicest room in the hotel but this was just unacceptable. The front desk promised I would get credit for one of the cleaning fees for the dogs but that credit has not happened. I would avoid this hotel and look elsewhere in Laredo.

WARNING - DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL-Their valet caused damage to my truck and they will not take responsibility for the damage. Hotel is the worst, the rooms are dirty, old furniture and beds are like sleeping on a morgue slab. I would have had a better stay at the MOTEL 6.

La Posada has always been my favorite hotel when travelling to Laredo. I haven't stayed there for 4-5 years and I was disappointed this time. I always enjoyed the character and charm of this hotel, but it is starting to show its age. My room was very dark with only a small window, the furniture was worn and outdated. The grounds were OK but not as nice as I remember. The folks at the front desk were fine but not exactly welcoming. The plaza seems a little more sketchy. As much as I hate to say it, I will probably not stay there again. Nothing glaring, just not worth the extra drive, paying for parking, and the extra cost.

The hotel was nice and clean. However the room had a stale smell, carpet should have probably been replaced. Upon arrival I checked into room assigned. When I arrived to the room I saw an open suitcase on the bed. It was already assigned to someone. I was assigned another room. I tried to open the door, but the door chain was keeping me from entering the room. I went back to the front desk and they apologized again and gave me yet another room. This room was vacant. To me the security is questionable.

I used to come here on business at least once a month pre covid due to place having easy access to Courthouse. Rooms were always too warm but convenience to court was key. Post covid and rooms are still too warm where one has to run fans to get close to comfy. Now, if you like your room at 78 degrees with no circulation then this is the place for you! I got used to the old guys pre covid but they are gone now. New younger crowd without the same values. It's just different now. We will try out the newer hotels next time.
