Obviously this is not a 5 star place but we are giving it 5 stars for various reasons. The host family, especially the lady who runs it is delightful and she prepared the best breakfasts we had in our entire trip and that includes 3 x 5 star hotels we stayed in. Its up a fairly steep rough terrain road and in essence it is a simple homestay. The room was spotless, very comfy bed, plenty of hot water, lovely views and we were presented with a pot of tea and plate of biscuits on arrival. It is so cheap, we don’t know she makes a profit. This place is sri Lankan hospitality at its best.

We stayed here in early September and what an amazing experience. We have travelled to ella consistently twice a year for 5 years and have never been as blown away by a property when considering value for money and what is available. Positives: - Extremely clean - this is a huge factor for us and we were blown away by the cleanliness of the property - Has own WIFI router which provided fast wifi - Outside private balcony is spacious and has a table perfect for working - Has a great view of ella rock - 5 minute walk into the main town if that - which for the price is crazy, and saves you considerable money on tuk tuks. - 10 min max walk from the train station - Bed and pillows are very comfortable - in fact better than what we have experienced at 5 star hotels. - No mosquitoes in the room - this was huge for me because I have an allergy - Huge bathroom with good hot water system - Breakfast was huge and delicious - by far the best breakfast we have been provided in ella. - The room in general had a lot of small details that just made a difference - they provided a hair dryer, tea and coffee, kettle, and mosquito mesh over open space above door. - The room has big windows at the front so feels light and not dark and dingy. - When we arrived, they provided us with welcome tea and cake AND THEY DIDN'T CHARGE EXTRA FOR IT! A real homely visit. Finally, it's run by a family who are very friendly and that care about their property and rooms. There is a lot of care that has gone into this homestay which if you compare that to some other homestays, is a blessing. No negatives at all!!!! I would recommend this homestay to absolutely everyone - whether you are a digital nomad, family or couple. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Ella! The owners are so friendly and helpful. They cared about me and my tuktuk. Everyday I got a fresh juice, breakfast was amazing. My room also, big and perfectly clean. My little terrace was the perfect place to relax and have a look at little Adams Peak. And all of this for a really good price and close to the town center.

Such a lovely host family!!! This place is real jewel. Just 5 minutes walk from the center where all the shops, bars and restaurants are. The room is great: super clean, everything is new and in very good shape. There are plenty of add on’s like hair dryer, fridge, kettle and tons of coffee and tea. The absolute highlight is the delicious homemade breakfast. It is huge, so you don’t need lunch. I am really grateful that I found this place and will surely come back! Highly recommend.

We spent 3 nights in Little Paradise and we couldn't be happier. The hosts are very kind and helpful, they helped us with PCR tests and they serve best breakfast plus they have lovely family :). Accomodation (upper room with balcony) was superb with nice views of Ella rock in quiet area 5 min walk from the center. You can arrange day trips with the host and his tuk tuk - we really enjoyed it and saw Diyaluma falls, tea factory, plantations and some local places he took us to. We definetly recommend this homestay!
