We had a lovely week's stay and were looked after by our host George. The apartments are close to the beach and are various spacious inside and are spotlessly clean. George was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and gave us some great tips in terms of places to go. If we come back to Crete, we would definitely come back and stay at Despina Studios again. Highly recommend.

My husband and I spent 5 days here and we really enjoyed it. The room was spacious, clean and cosy. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. If you hire a car, there’s a car park, so don’t worry about it. If you don’t drive, they can arrange a transfer from/to the airport for you. The beach is right outside the hotel: it’s not obviously the best of the island but it’s nice and clean if you just want to spend a few hours chilling. We spent our last morning there before flying back home. The manager was super kind when we arrived and gave us some tips about nice restaurants and places to see. As our flight home was late in the afternoon, he also gave us a spare room after we checked out, so so we could enjoy a few more hours at the beach and then have a shower before leaving. Agia Marina is a good area to stay, especially if you drive and plan to visit the best places in Crete. I would definitely book at Despina Studio again if I visit Crete again, thank you very much.

Excellent hotel with seaview and balcony, very clean room, kitchenette and bathroom, friendly and helpful staff (director George and cleaning lady Valentina). Good location near beach, bus stop, shops, restaurants and cafes. Thank you for your hospitality!

We have just returned from a 24 night stay.. This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Despina Studios,only COVID and the cancellation of flights prevented us returning sooner. George,the owner along with Valentina,who cleans the rooms to a very high standard to ensure the comfort of guests Nothing is too much trouble,ask..and it is done. The rooms are spacious and have a nice balcony, some with a sea view. There is a bus stop just outside with frequent service to Chania town and other resorts within Crete. You will arrive as a guest,and leave as a friend..

Great location! Clean very accommodating, nice, friendly, beautiful rooms with kitchen, refrigerator and cook top. Utensils, pots, pans, glasses and cups available. Frequent cleaning!! Beach and pool wonderful. Multiple restaurants and shops within walking distance. Will stay again on next trip!!!

George, you have continued the excellent standards you set for these lovely apartments, Absolutely spotless, you could eat off the floor its kept that clean. I have left a previous review with all the details of what you can expect from the Despina, and I can guarantee one thing you wont be is disappointed. We book the rooms that look over the sea, a little smaller that the other rooms but nice to have the view when guzzling 1 euro wine from lidl in the evening as the sun sets before heading off to one the fantastic restaurants within 10 minutes walk. We really hope to be back and when we do George we will be in touch as always. Thank you again for a fantastic time.

We spent two weeks in a studio with sea view. Everything is perfect in this small hotel: the hospitality and kindness of its director, George and of Valentina; the cleanliness of the hotel and in general of the all property, direct access to the beach and its location near all amenities. The bus stop is at the bottom of the hotel allowing to quickly join the surrounding localities or to go to Chania. The studio is very well equipped and the bedding is excellent. In short, the quality-price ratio of this accommodation is unbeatable! This was our first stay at Despina Studios, but we intend to return as soon as possible.

We booked 2 apartments for our stay, one for my family and the other my sister and her teenage daughter. Unbelievable value for money, the photos don't do it justice. Great location as the beach is on your doorstep, loungers are available at 2.50 Euros each. There is a shared pool with the hotel next to the apartments that you can access as long as you order drinks (which is fair enough). Bus stop is directly opposite the apartments, and there are plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants along the road in both directions. It's also reasonably quiet on a nighttime if you are a light sleeper like me. George the manager of the apartments is friendly and helpful with everything from advice on where to eat, shop and excursions. The place is kept meticulously clean every day by George and the lovely Valentina. I cannot fault this place at all, the apartments themselves have large comfortable beds, great air conditioning, large balconies, great showers, all the extras from toiletries, to iron, microwave, kettle and kitchen needs. And upon arrival there was orange juice and water in the fridge, fruit and chocolate bread. Excellent hospitality.

A big thank to George for allowing us to have an unforgettable stay in Agia Marina. The studios were great: spacious, very clean, good equipped, air-conditioned, close to shops, restaurants and beach, with a bus stop in front of the hotel to visit the port of Chania. Besides the great studios, George was a very attentive host. Always available to advise us and answer all our requests. Moreover, I would like to thank the cleaning lady, who was a very nice and smiling person and cleaned the rooms so perfectly. As a conclusion, George was clearly part of the success of our holiday. He is the best Ambassador of Cretan hospitality. We will certainly return to his hotel. I do definitely recommend Despina Studio.

The owner George really takes great care of his property and is a very welcoming and caring host. Rooms are spotless, a good size and have good facilities, nice big fridge and the shower is really good. Close to many restaurants and shops. Beach is only just over 100 yards away and the use of the pool nearby is a boon. Free taxi from airport. George himself is a really nice man and I must also add that Valentina who looks after the rooms is wonderful.

Wow... these self catering rooms are simply superb. Everything you need, kettle, toaster, oven, microwave, hairdryer, proper shower cubicle with sliding doors, hot water, free aircon, flat screen TV, Washing up liquid, clothe, t-towel, beach towels, mozzie machine, salt and pepper, and all the usual bits you expect. But on arrival to have bread, water, fruit and orange juice in the fridge was just a class touch. George is amazing, the cleaning of the rooms and the small block is exceptional, totally spotless throughout for our whole stay. We had a 2 bed studio looking out the back towards the sea and the shared pool, both of which were fine, and the pool has a bar and restaurant that services the hotel that the pool belongs to. Just cant rate this accomodation highly enough, well located to walk into either Agia Marina or Platanias, good restaurants nearby, bakery almost next door, and supermarket as well. George is a great host and knows everyone in the area so a fantastic knowledge and is just so helpful. And on leaving even got a bottle of home produced olive oil, which is very nice I must say. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

We had a very pleasant stay at despina studios. The host is very caring and makes sure everything is taking care of. Also, we highly appreciated the cleaning lady, who left the room perfectly clean every single day. If you want to have a good price/quality hotel, then i would definetely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is situated near the sea and near the pool, which we were allowed to use. The rooms are very clean, cleaning lady comes every day if you want. The host man is very pleasant and willing to help. At 1st day we got few extra things in a room (ex. orange juices, apples etc.), which was a nice surprise. George also gave us tips for the best places for shopping, eating, bus stations. We strongly recommend that place for a holiday!
