My husband and I traveled here on business. This was our first time visiting Arizona. The property, the rooms, hotel lobby are all beautiful. The view is absolutely amazing. The mountains are breathtaking. As if that wasn’t enough the staff here is amazing. Everyone is very welcoming, but a special shout out to Reagan at the bar who learned our names the first night and went out of his way to say hi for the rest of our stay here. We felt like we had our own personal welcoming committee. Another shout out to David who I met when I had breakfast on my first morning and have seen him every day since. Always with a welcoming smile and the ability to make me feel like I am a long time valued guest, even though this is my first visit here.
We booked one of the rooms with a king size bed and fitness room. The fitness area had a Gym Rax (rack held dumbbells, weights), Five Feet to Fitness (Workout programs for all ages) and Life Fitness Cycling bike were great surprises in our room. We loved the wide open space to lay out the yoga mat for meditation and stretches. Appreciated sinking into the fluffy, soft mattress and pillows. Coffeemaker and refrigerator were perfect for our 3 night stay. A special recognition to Leah. Her friendliness and professionalism were appreciated every morning! Double Tree by Hilton Tucson Downtown Convention Center is a place my family and I will plan to stay again when we visit Tucson again! Thank you to your staff's customer service and perfect place to stay!
This hotel is not worthy of the Doubletree brand. It is old and tired with issues throughout. Stayed one night to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. I asked for a first floor room close to the lobby so they put me as far away as possible in the second floor - the design of the hotel is outdoor entry once past the lobby which involves navigating large luggage through doors with no auto opener. Fine, but once in the room, it was tired musty. The phone wasn’t turned on so I had to call the desk because there are no channel guides in the room - they are at the front desk and need to be delivered - why they don’t put one in every room is a mystery. The bedside lamp outlet didn’t work and the pillows had dark smudges on them. I was tired so I didn’t complain. In the morning, found shampoo bottle broken and on the shower floor. To top it off, there was no hair dryer and the front desk said it would take 20 minutes when the shuttle driver gets back - left for the airport with wet hair. My advice is to avoid this hotel and stay a few doors down at the Hilton Garden Inn. This hotel is not Hilton-worthy.
Very friendly, personable staff in lobby and breakfast restaurant; attentive and pleasant, which brightened a difficult weekend for me, visiting an ailing parent. Super nice and clean remodeled room; good sized bathroom and nice, big pool I used twice; really great central location too. Would definitely stay here again!
Expectations were somewhat higher due to the reviews. Maybe it was the room itself which was spacious and clean but the bathroom was mostly the problem. It was too big, very cold due to leaky windows and no heater. Slow drains all around, faucet about to come off, could use an entire makeover. It was very cold during our stay so the room heater was working almost 24/7. Heater temp and air temp didn't feel right, sometimes not enough heat, other times too warm. Could not regulate the temperature well, plus with all the leaky windows, maybe that was the best it could do under the circumstances. Best part of the room was it was upstairs and the view was very nice, if you ignored all the noise from the staff maintenance area. The breakfast buffet was okay, slight variation each morning but the wait staff was not very friendly and not attentive at all. One coffee refill would of been nice, which most of us had to ask for and half the time they never came back. If they were real busy, we could understand but being close to the kitchen area, you could hear them talking and not attending to the clientele. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Dina is such a gem and makes you feel so welcome. We chose the Atanacia Room for direct pool access. Enjoyed a quiet night poolside with ample outdoor lighting. The pool and outside seating areas are beautifully maintained. A little backyard oasis -- located in a very nice Tucson neighborhood. The room itself was very clean with rustic charm and turquoise hues. Not exactly shiny or modern if that is your preference. I hope they freshen up the design/decor in that room a bit someday. Breakfast was perfect as were the baked goods available in the kitchen for guests to help themselves to whenever. Thank you for a special stay.
I had a reservation and had to wait until 3pm but others were allowed to go to their room much earlier I hope it wasn't the color of my beautiful skin customer service should be one of the most important things in this business making sure the customer is comfortable providing them all the information and hospitality that they need to enjoy their stay.
