I had a wonderful stay at the hotel in Mount Pleasant, Charleston. The facilities were excellent, and I especially enjoyed the gym and pool. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making my visit even more pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great experience in Charleston.
We stay at Hilton hotels often, but this is the first time that I have felt compelled to write a review. The staff was excellent and so friendly from the lady that made our omelette to the maids we passed in the halls. Lisa at the front desk was the most friendly and helpful staff member that I have ever encountered at a Hilton. She always made a point to talk to our children and helped us find fun activities for the day. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
Worse hotel experience totally unexpected. The location of this hotel is central, but in the middle of this strange shopping center. When I got to the hotel the entrance was confusing as well as inconvenient as I had to park in first level and leave my car and go up to the second level to check in. After I checked in and they gave me my room I could not get wifi signal so they moved me to another room that was smaller and less comfortable. The door wouldn’t self close and would get stuck and so I had to make sure it was shut every time. The room was ok but the whole place just felt very stale. I already had a bad taste in my mouth when I woke up the next morning to go have breakfast. I have to say the breakfast was a complete joke! What they called scrambled eggs looked to be a white and purple/blue color and was so dry it looked like bread crumbs. I don’t think it was real food and was not suitable for consumption. They didn’t even offer anything like a muffin or a sweet cake. It was super basic and even if it was free it wasn’t worth consuming. When I checked out I locked my key in the room and gave them my ice bucket from the room that I used to get a bit of ice for my cooler. The front desk employee looked at me with an attitude and said, “Do you expect us to put it back in the room?” I couldn’t believe it! I was going to tell her to take a hike, but I chose the high road instead and just said thank you! I ended up moving to the other hotel by Hyatt House in Mount Pleasant the next day and so glad I did! If you are going to stay in Mount Pleasant, do not stay at the Hyatt Place and go to the Hyatt House instead.
ゲゲストCould not have been happier with the room, the staff, or our stay. They have a lil area that has items for purchase and the drink selection could have included milk, but given the fact our room had a full size fridge, was not a bit bothered as we just bought some. It was spacious and had just about everything you could think of. Outlet usage was a bit sparse on one side of the bed, but again, not a big deal. Price was amazing. I would absolutely stay here again.
Stayed for a wedding weekend and had a great stay, not one complaint. The room was perfectly clean, housekeeping was great about refilling towels, etc. You can choose your housekeeping services here. We were only there 3 days so only needed a towel refresh. They also emplied our trash each day. The pool was very peaceful, enough lounge chairs that we didn't have to wait for a chair. The property is located at the base of the Cooper RIver Bridge so very convenient to donwtown Charleston. Only about a mile from Shem Creek and the famous Paige's Okra Kitchen. We also went to Sullivan's Island and it was about a 12 minute drive. Breakfast was good, the folks working there keep it very clean and well stocked. They have strawberry waffles in addition to regular. Front desk staff also very nice and helpful.
JJoyce DMy family stayed one night pre-surgery and considered the Isle of Palms Hampton Inn in Mt. Pleasant. . Our family was to be in Mt Pleasant for an out of state family member's surgery and there for the 2 week recovery time after surgery. We decided the outdated upholstered lobby and room furniture, plus the plywood on the dining area may not be the ideal hygienic environment for a post surgery patient and 2 week recovery stay. Thankfully the staff understood and we were able to move before the discharge from hospital. Thankfully our family members surgery and recovery time in Mt. Pleasant was safe and thus far successful. We are grateful and back to our state and home.
ゲゲストA solid option with easy access to the bridge and downtown. We fpund it to be very clean. The beds seem quite new and are comfortable. Considering that is a motel and not a hotel, we felt like we got a good value stay for a quiet and relaxing night, compared to the alternatives downtown and nearby.
