My pillows stank of sweat I had to use a T-shirt as a case. Couldn’t get the safe to work, couldn’t get the phone to work. The pool was very cold, could have been heated. Positives, food was great, amenities for families is good. Nice pool bar which provided drinks and food. Also nice play area near the bar. receptionists could have been a bit more friendlier

Perfect holiday experience at this hotel. We requested a double bed (rather than twins pushed together) 3 months before we even arrived, upon checking in we saw the staff had given us a wonderful pool view room with a double bed. Great service! Every member of staff is really helpful and friendly, they work extremely hard and go above and beyond for the guests. The pool bar is sooo cheap considering the brilliant quality of the food, drinks were cheaper still and the breakfast buffet selection was endless. So many options for everyone and lovely staff again. The pool area was pristine and so pretty, the pool is cold but that’s a welcome relief after the hot sun! Jacuzzi was awesome and the hotel entertainment was great. The location of the hotel is fab and the check in/out experience is so efficient. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Where do I start!! Food poising from uncooked chicken on first day! Pool is freezing Flys all round the pool landing on u all the time! People banging on hotel room doors passed midnight No lifeguard even with lots children present! No entertainment AVOID!!!!

We have just returned from a week at GHT balmes and we have honestly had a very plesent experiance - One of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed at! - we were half board breakfast had pleanty of choices from ceral, fry up, cold meats, baked goods and more. Dinner again one of the best hotels weve stayed at there was not 1 night where there was the same there were always options for kids (chips, chicken nuggets, pasta, fish fingers) they did have a spanish night, burgers, paella good for fussy eaters as there eas always something. - staff were nice and helpful on reception - pool bar was well priced for food and was very good quality we ate there everyday - rooms are clean and fresh bed was comfy - location, is close to beach shops and trian station all withing a 5 min walk and very flat! Only down falls were - half board meal times were 0730-0930 and 1930-2130 which in my opinion is quite late and people with children did struggle with the timings. - shower was very on and off very hot and cold - the pools are FREEZING all the children end up in the jucuzzi as its the only bareable place for them to go - the staff at the pool bar were nice but i did find i would often be stood being the only person waiting to be served and they would be stood chatting and wouldnt acknowledge i was there for around 5 mins Overall this was a great holiday and the downfalls mentioned are minor in comparison to the great things about this hotel i would reccomend for anyone to come here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely place, very clean, kids splash wonderful, ok prices for food and drinks, lovely entertainment. Unless you have an autistic child who doesn’t like eating with others around, i was refused to eat on the other side of the seating area, even if there were empty. They didn’t consider my child’s needs, i had to go outside of the hotel to eat everytime. Other thing i have some crazy bites on my legs, it was definitely something in the mattress, me and my daughter have it. Apart of this lovely place, I would go back. Very quite, you can actually sleep at night. They charge deposit on your arrival, you will get it back when you leave.

Lovely week at this hotel. Basic rooms and little dated in parts but we only needed the room for sleeping! The breakfast and dinner buffet was plentiful and tasty with varied choices each day/ evening. Children were well catered for. The pool area was lovely and the kids entertainment was fantastic. Victoria was great with the kids and adults alike, always a smile and a hello everyday. My son had a ball and we could relax knowing he was having fun. Mini club in mornings , pool games or activity during the day and mini disco Most nights. They had a magician and singer on other nights too. Bar area was cool and spacious and the staff were lovely. Helpful reception staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Altho I did need to ask for fresh towels but that's OK. Area around hotel is busy and streets a little grubby but it's a very short walk to main strip in Calella with lots of shops restaurants bars and cafes. Close to the beach and train station Altho I did feel walking up a little further to Pineda De Mar was worth it for a slightly nicer beach and walks. Took a train very easily into Barcelona and had a fab day trip to Tossa De Mar which I highly recommend. All in all we had a great stay - fun, relaxing and just what we needed x

Hotel in a quieter area of the resort with some noise from local traffic, kids, animals in early mornings. Check in was easy and staff friendly. Bedrooms were basic and cleaned daily, however walls were paper thin and next doors occupants could be heard snoring in the night, talking on their phones and using the toilet. A great base to explore nearby Girona and Barcelona on the train which was easy to do. Breakfast was good with a good amount of choices. The bar was reasonably priced for drinks. Not great weather meant pool was not used by us on this occasion, but looked OK.

We had an excellent holiday here last week, with our son and his 2 year old daughter. She very much appreciated the soft play area- useful for letting off steam, and also the children's pool, although the water was very cold in the pool- it was much warmer in the sea! The rooms were good- comfortable beds, excellent house keeping. A very nice, small balcony. Everything was very clean. The meals were excellent. There were vast quantities of food and we had far too much choice. An excellent variety and nicely presented. We appreciated the fresh fruit at breakfast and dinner. The food was replenished constantly and the staff were very friendly, understanding and patient towards all the children. This was very much appreciated as mealtimes with a toddler could be stressful. All the staff were lovely to deal with- they were always helpful and welcoming to all of us. We really appreciated this. We needed an extra room after my husband was unwell one night, and the staff on reception the following day were very sympathetic and arranged the extra room at a good price, very close to the rest of the family. It was an excellent holiday all round

The staff at this hotel are so friendly and helpful. The buffet restaurant food choices were so good. I was not expecting much from reading previous reviews, but trust me ignore those. The freshly cooked meat and fish amazing and the desserts still craving the cheesecake. Location is great for Caella strip and just down the road is the beach and a train station which we used to go to Barcelona. The rooms are clean and everything works so what more do you want from a holiday. planning on coming back next year with the teenagers.

Lovely clean hotel. Really close to the beach just a 5 minute walk. Great location close to a lot of restaurants. Cafe bar food is lovely. Staff very hardworking and helpful. Nice tidy room. Only had breakfast once which was nice. Thanks for the lovely holiday

The staff are extremely friendly and work so hard, they never stop. The pool side bar is great for snacks pizza, chicken nuggets, chips etc at a very reasonable price. Drinks both alcoholic & soft are very decently priced. We ate out and ate in the hotel restaurant, out & about there are places to eat that are nice but the hotel restaurant offers a range of different dishes to suit all. The entertainment is really good, the lady that offers the pool side entertainment and night kids entertainment is brilliant (my kids are a bit too old bit did the water polo). All in all a fantastic holiday - and we are still here!

The bed was comfortable the staff were brilliant very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean The only downside was the evening meal unless you like Spanish food as they seemed to cater for the Spanish We had to go out for our evening meal and it was hard to find a decent place to eat

Booked here for 2 nights as our flights were cancelled, was extremely pleasantly surprised as we had paid quite cheap in comparison to other hotels. Staff extremely friendly on arrival, we were early, they were able to lock our bags in a secure luggage room and allowed us to enjoy the pool area. Lovely pool for adults, plenty of sun loungers for use and umbrellas, smaller kids pool also available with different features for them to enjoy. Also kids entertainment on during the day, which they seemed to love. Pool bar also lovely, different food items available to order and full range of drinks. When we did get to our room, we had issues with aircon, when informed staff of this we were moved immediately, we had stayed in the apartment, small living area, kitchen bedroom and bathroom, and small balcony area, all very clean. Kids entertainment on in the evenings. Great location, short walk to main shopping streets and restaurants. So so pleasantly surprised by this hotel and would 100% book again.
