Great service. Great location. Fantastic breakfast and even better tasting menu at 1621 Restaurant!! Highly recommend. Concierge, Gabriel, was very helpful. He set up a personal walking and driving guided tour with Roco. It was well worth it in order to get a nice tour of the entire city. David, the bellhop, was equally friendly and gave a tour of the hotel with an explanation of its history.
Staff was wonderful & helpful. Breakfast had lots of options. Front desk was extremely helpful with sightseeing suggestions in town. Taxi’s available outside of the hotel to take you to the historic area. Pools were fantastic and Arismel the lifeguard went above and beyond to help us with any questions we had. Would definitely come back! Highly recommend for families!
We had breakfast at the restaurant everyday during our stay and the staff was was helpful and accommodating. Moises was our server and was very friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
My wife and I stayed here for the last 4 days of our honeymoon. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel is quaint and provided the intimate feel that we were looking for after staying in other larger hotels earlier in our trip. Our accommodations were quiet yet right in the middle of anything we wanted to do in the Walled City. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The entire hotel was immaculately clean. The location also made us feel very safe. The pool was a perfect escape from the mid day heat. The bed was a comfortable ending to great days exploring the city. The bathroom was elegant with high ceilings and a large mirror. The shower was spacious but lacked water pressure due to the head being located so high. However, this did not negatively impact our stay. The only improvement to the hotel I would offer would be to develop the rooftop observation deck to become a more welcoming space. We ventured up there to take a look at the city and found a lovely space that with a little work could be a great draw to see the ancient architecture of the Walled City. It has been a week since our trip and I still catch myself dreaming about our time at the hotel. Wonderful place to stay.
BB99OZhannamBEST HOSTEL EVER! I highly recommend doing the day trip to their Tierra Bomba location as well it is beautiful. They had a free salsa class while I was staying there and the teacher is super fun. They also had a pub crawl where we met people from other hostels. This is right in Getsemani and is a 10 minute walk away from San Felipe castle. Great location, great price, and great people. Also they have a cat named Orion! As for the rooms, each bed was like a compartment and had a shade for privacy. There were private bathrooms in the rooms as well as shared ones. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was included--it was fruit and toast which filled me up. There are also paid options but the included breakfast was enough for me personally. They do have wifi and it's fast. There is also a social area and coworking space. Honestly, I wish I spent more time in this city and at this hostel. The staff members are so nice and will go out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They'll even recommend activities and restaurants. This hostel is great for both introverts and extroverts. There are people willing to socialize there or if you would rather have privacy, that is possible there. THANK YOU SANTUARIO!!!
ゲゲストAll rooms overlook a central courtyard, which is nice but not practical as people are always passing by so you can’t leave the window open as you get no privacy. The curtain is not a curtain but a rolling blind, so either shut or open. My room happens to be on the ground floor, where the restaurant is. It may be better on the other floors. So just artificial light.
There is also no desk in the room. Otherwise the room is decent and clean.
The breakfast is simple but good with coffees, juice some fruit and an omelette.
The place is secure and the reception have to open for you to go in and out. Location wise it’s pretty good as well as it’s within the wall but not where wll tourists hang out. Pretty safe
Check in strictly at 3pm even if the room is available 😅
2282catThis is a well managed hotel. The facilities are modern. The hotel is ideal if you have a car, or will move by taxi or Ub... since Cartagena's Transcaribe Public Transit does not reach ”La Boquilla” area. The beach is across a highway overpass. The breakfast is on the light side (there is no breakfast buffet) but reasonable in calories and well cooked. I loved the corn dough empanadas filled with meat, I had never tried them before and they were a treat. You can also have a two eggs omelette with coffee or two eggs any style. I praise the personnel at this hotel, and the vigilance of management. The beach across the highway is not for instagram, but that is one of the cleaner strips within the city of Cartagena.
This was my first visit to Colombia and it was a blast! This was due in large part to my stay at this Hampton Inn at Bocogrande Beach. Very nice hotel, great location, very friendly and helpful staff, they served the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel which was complimentary. I spent a couple days on the rooftop pool and bar. There is a safe in the room. The hotel does not offer any rooms with a king size bed, no mini fridge but really no complaints. Everything was around the hotel. So many bars, restaurants, some casinos. I would definitely look to stay here again on my next visit.
