From the beginning, the Cellars-Hohenort went above and beyond for us. The staff, management and property are exceptional. Nestled at the base of Table Mountain, this property offered a quite reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of dishes being offered and a continental spread available for starters. We will definitely come back and stay at this lovely hotel!

We visited the restaurant! The place is gorgeous and a beautiful view. Their wine selection is vast and their food was very tasty! My friend even tried one of their cocktails and was very happy. Definitely will go back!

Incredible visit to beautiful boutique hotel on gorgeous grounds at the base of Table Mountain. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, fine linens and so comfortable. The food was special at every meal, presented creatively and delicious. The High Tea, walking in the gardens, finding the resident tortoises made this a one of a kind hotel. The Spa, peaceful, quiet and talented employees. But, by far the best part of all was the welcoming staff. Hats off to Helenica, Bridget, Daniel, Annabella, Que, Lisa and Massimo. Wish I could name everyone as they all did their part to make our visit so memorable!

Beautiful decor, lovely open lounge spaces and genuinely helpful staff. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious with lovely comfy beds. There are lots of open areas to relax in and perfect if you are staying with children who go to bed earlier. Gardens are lovely for a walk and the restaurant was great. We took the complimentary shuttle to the Waterfront on one of the days which was really helpful. We paid to get picked up from the airport but again such a pleasure to offer this service. One of us used the spa and had a good experience with an early appointment before breakfast. Very relaxing and somewhere I would definitely go back and stay.

We were booked by our tour company, Go Touch Down, at another hotel (Stillness Manor) which was completely unacceptable!!!! Our group of 8 quickly found The Cellars property and were lucky enough to all get rooms. The staff was so professional and the property is stunning. They saved our entire Cape Town experience! Both the restaurant and the bar have a good selection and the food is really good. I’m not too adventurous so stuck with the filet and was not disappointed! On par with a good American steakhouse. They offer a nice continental breakfast or you can order from the menu. They also have an on-site boutique that was very charming. I would return to Cape Town and stay at this property!

We consider our 4-night stay at the Cellars-Hohenort to be the best resort experience we ever had. Impeccable service and ambience. The entire staff was so welcoming, professional, caring, and attentive. The attention to detail for everything was amazing. Charming in every way. We loved all meals, the multiple spa treatments, walking around the grounds . . . everything. We'll definitely plan to return. Best service and treatment we've ever experienced.

Our recent stay at The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel was an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel itself with the wondervoll surrounding garden is beautiful and located in a green and safe area in Cape Town. Furthermore the food in their own unique restaurant from breakfast to dinner is more than delicious. The staff at the hotel was a standout aspect of our visit. Always helpful and genuinely kind, they made sure all our questions were answered. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident, making our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. In summary, we had a very positive experience at The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality and comfort in a beautiful hotel environment.

Reservation system is disappointing. Booked via ******* as per their requirements but received email that the reservation was abruptly cancelled by the hotel. A deposit was paid to secure the reservation. On making further enquiries ******* bounces this to the hotel who bounce it back to them. Very unpleasant and when one tries to rebook the hotel is said to be sold out!

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have travelled a lot. It is a beautiful old building with such character. The food is wonderful and we ate in the restaurant most evenings. The chef also made the cake for the wedding we were there for and it was just wonderful. The main reason there aren't enough stars to rate this hotel, is the staff. Everyone just wants to ensure that you are having a good time and have everything you need. The friendliness from the gardeners, reception, restaurant and bar staff is second to none. We will be back !

We dined here in our final night in S Africa and it is always reassuring to return to a top class restaurant with first class service. The new decor was buzzy and made the vibe younger. All of our meals were delicious and beautifully presented.

A dream visit. We landed from Heathrow at 8.30 am. The chauffeur Cellars had arranged was there to greet us. A lovely reception from Daniel at the hotel. We had prebooked a morning massage as we knew we would be there early. Everything flowed so smoothly. A walk round the wonderful grounds, an hour on the back lawn and a lovely lunch we were ready for our room which is simply amazing! We were thoroughly spoilt by room 5, thank you. Our room had a small patio which was part of anther garden area, thus spoilt for choice A pleasant dinner in the conservatory. Incidentally, we found the omelette a better choice for breakfast rather than the full English I like to give an honest and balanced view on all things. We loved the Cellars for our room, for the facilities such as the smaller garden/swimming pool though frankly the larger lawns/swimming pool was equally magnificent Food wise, the conservatory restaurant is good, but it didn`t particularly wow either of us. But that should not deter you from booking this wonderful wonderful retreat for your own dream visit. Special thanks to Daniel and Hellena on reception.

First impressions are lasting and it was exactly that which led us to holding our daughter's baby shower at The Cellars Hohenort. We had scouted a number of high class venues in the southern suburbs and the communication prior to the event, natural beauty of the venue, service excellence and genuine interest in going the extra mile for the client resulted in a unforgettable high tea. The quantity of the food ensured that you did not leave hungry and our service ambassadors clearly explained each item in the 4 course menu. Thank you to all at The Cellars Hohenort for making my daughters baby shower dream become a reality.

This is our 10th visit and Tanya Johnson could not have been more welcoming or generous to us. We had our favourite Villa, 65 and all sorts of lovely, gifts were sent in by Tanya to welcome us back. The villa is absolutely beautiful and so are the grounds. Quite a lot of refurbishment has happened since last year and it is beautiful. Everyone cannot do enough for us. The laundry service is fantastic. Comes back in the evening packed in tissue or hung on hangers. There is a complimentary shuttle service to Cape Town and back so you don’t have to drive and find a parking spot. We are coming back for our 11th visit next year and cannot wait. Thank you everyone who has made our visit so enjoyable.
