This place is just a typical old style pub type accomodation on the busy north south Newell Highway. The accomodation is quite old fashioned but clean and relatively comfortable. The rooms and shared bathrooms are from another era. Good food and service is available in the bar downstairs. This place served the purpose of breaking the long car trip northward. The only real inconvenience was their inability to recognise that we had prepaid the the accomodation and asked us to pay again. An email to Trip.com resolved the problem and we were issued a cash refund during the night.

Typical 'pub' style accommodation with facilities one would expect e.g. rooms with bed (s), wash basin, aircon, communal bathrooms and kitchen. Some rooms open out of to street facing balcomy. Overall not bad for $40-50 per night tariff. Access to balcony can make guests vulnerable to excessive noise generated by revellers/party goers.

Great atmosphere and meals. We were there on a very busy night and we didnt have to wait too long for our meals. Well heated in the Winter with a lovely fire in the bar which you can sit around. Staff are friendly, beer is fresh. If you are looking for somewhere in Coonabarabran to eat this is the place to go.

Very overpriced for the room. Basic is an understatement. Shared tea coffee making facilities with other rooms. The beds looked shabby and the room was not decorated at all. Nowhere to sit. It was not value for money. We walked in and walked straight out again.

Drink prices great $7 schooner can get take aways. Good nightly food specials. Young friendly staff, Venue location in middle of town opposite Clock Tower. Large dining area. Didn't wait long for meals. Crumbed lamb cutlets very good. Lots of choice for take away drinks at fair prices.

I have stayed here previously and found this pub with it's old world charm ,big verandah , tea and coffee room as well as a lounge to be a great place to stay. The meals are big but not expensive with really good waiters and bar staff , cold beer and live bands

Terrible meals, Parmy was dry/over cooked and inedible and had no ham on the Parmy?, steak sandwich was tough and hard to get through, would not go back or recommend, left most of our meals and left the pub
