「Hotel is in a great location for the centre and use this as my go to for when dropping son to uni. Rooms I have stayed in before have been lovely, however this time the rooms I was given (710 & 711) were pretty dated and drab. No mini fridge in one of the rooms and huge stained carpet in the other. The corridor smelt heavily of urine. Breakfast was lovely and great value for money. Disappointed with the rooms.」

「The hotel is aesthetically pleasing, has old world charm yet modern. Breakfast is good though sometimes a long queue is formed outside the restaurant. But my check in was very disappointing. First the time it took for that staff to process it led me to think either their computer is not working or there's a problem with my booking (but I have received reminder from Trip.com. Worst, that staff asked me to pay a sum which is about £100 more than the stated sum on my hotel voucher ( he even said specifically ”For the first night the amount is xxx, and for the second night, the amount is xxx, with a security deposit of £50, the total is £4xx.”I told him he made a mistake as the sum stated in my printed voucher is only £3xx. That staff is either incompetent or not trustworthy, and should not be working on front desk. ALWAYS CHECK THE PRICE ON YOUR VOUCHER.」

「Very clean, comfortable pillow and be with nice air conditioning. Location is good and will consider to rebook again.」

「Room was very big and spacious, room was clean and spotless. Breakfast was lovely and location excellent. Everything was great, no complaints.」

「A stunning hotel in a great location. We attended a concert nearby in the castle which was just a few minutes away by foot and despite the hotel being near to the pubs and clubs on st Mary street we didn't hear a thing from our room. There was a slight mix up at check in with a double charge but this was all sorted with a quick message to trip.com. I would definitely recommend.」
