Das Falkenstein - Highlight Naturschwimmteich

There are so many great things to say about Das Falkenstein! My husband and I stayed for 6 nights after flying in from Australia and it was the most perfect spot to unwind. We booked a Studio Vogelfrei room and it was spacious, spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy and we had a great balcony with a view of the mountains. We booked the half board, which is something I had never done before, and it was the best decision. breakfast and dinner every night were incredible and we couldn't fault a thing. The restaurant staff were lovely and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The wellness room and indoor and outdoor pools were amazing and we spent the afternoons laying on the outdoor sun beds after long days exploring the mountains and walking tracks. Our stay included the Summercard which was another huge bonus. It was great to be able to jump on the bus or Gondolas for free and it meant that we didn't need to hire a car during our stay. We relived our teenage years by playing the pinball machine downstairs each night after dinner which was a good laugh. A big thumbs up to whoever did the interior design, it's so quirky and cool. We come to Europe every couple of years and we will be definitely coming back to Das Falkenstien, we are missing it already. The only negative would be that the reception staff were a little unfriendly but the other staff were so attentive and friendly. Thanks for an incredible stay.

It was really amazing stay for us. The staff is helpful and kind, breakfast tasty with everything you need, they make you fresh eggs. Dinner absolutely delicious for 35€ (appetizer, salad bar, soup, main course and dessert) I do not eat meat so they made me veggie version (or fish). Room was clean and cosy, wellness great with saunas, pool and gym. Location for skying 👌🏻👌🏻

We stayed at Das Falkenstein for a short ski holiday in February 2024. The hotel is simply terrific in every respect - great food, fantastic staff, excellent facilities and an understated stylish ambience. There are plenty of places to eat in Kaprun but in reality we wished we’d booked the half board deal because the Falkenstein’s restaurant is absolutely excellent. A five course menu changes every night with lots of options to choose from and costs €35 which is terrific value for locally-sourced food prepared to a very high standard indeed. It works out even better value if you book half board. The hotel is located at the upper end of Kaprun, less than a 10 minute bus ride to the gondola up to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. Kaprun high street and the Maiskogel are a similar bus ride away. We can highly recommend Das Falkenstein and look forward to staying again in future.

Very well looked after hotel, seems newly refurbed to give a clean/modern feel but retaining all the charm of a family run, Austrian alps hotel. Excellent pool/spa/gym and the bar area and restaurant are spacious and comfortable. Food when we ate on 2 nights was delicious, if staying I would recommending using the restaurant during your stay. Perfect location outside of the Kaprun centre, so great for the Mountain View’s, with around 15/20 minute walk to Kaprun centre or couple mins drive/bus, with restaurants and bars en route. The staff and customer service are faultless. We had a couple of technical issues with heating/water at the start of the stay, which we appreciate can happen at any hotel, the staff couldn’t be more helpful and the issue was fixed quickly. Also after recieving bad news from home during our holiday the staff were so supportive offering ways to make the last evening easier for us before we returned home, the staff were genuinely caring and it was very much appreciated. I would recommend and would definitely book again if revisiting the area.

We had a wonderful 3 nights here. The food was excellent, particularly the Grill Party on the last night and fantastic breakfasts every day. Spacious rooms, wonderful indoor and outdoor pools, gym and table tennis. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would like to return for a ski holiday, thank you!

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit Flair, ausgezeichnet mit freundlichem Personal und Ambiente. Alles gepflegt, perfekter Aufenthalt mit Sauna, Schwimmbad und Restaurant. Wenige Meter zum Skibus, welcher in kurzen Abständen zum Kitzsteinhorn führt. Tolle Pisten, Lifte, Sonne und Pulverschnee. Was wünschen wir uns mehr???
