Rockcrest House

The perfect stay. The hosts are so gracious and personable. The home is an absolute knockout. The room was spacious, comfortable and lovely. Such a wonderful breakfast as well. As we say farewell to Ireland it's impossible to imagine a nicer place to remember.

We had a wonderful experience at Rockcrest House, David and Marion are the perfect hosts. Minutes walk from downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood with sheep across the street. We had a prime room with view as does the public area, and the breakfasts were the best of our trip, featuring Marians’s homemade brown bread. The hosts were full of tips as to where to eat or what to see, I can recommend without reservation.

This was our second time staying at Rockcrest. It is a beautiful home, with plenty of room. It is short walk into town. It has great WIFI, very comfortable beds and sufficient parking. The best part of Rockcrest is David and Marian our hosts. They balance making you feel at home and giving you privacy . David has great tips for what to see and Marian has great instincts for what you might want or need. They both go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful. I have to mention the breakfast. I think it is my husband’s favorite part. Marian provides several delicious choices. We are looking forward to our next stay.

This B&B is in a perfect location, so close that you can easily walk to the main streets where you will find great restaurants, shopping, anything you need. It’s also far enough away that you don’t hear any street noise. The house and yard are beautiful, with great space to sit outside and enjoy if the weather is good! Lots of free parking. The rooms are very spacious, so no problems with tripping over your luggage in the night. Very clean and comfortable, I had such a great sleep. Delicious breakfast with yummy press coffee and many options. We would definitely stay here again. The hosts are lovely and she gave us recommendations on where to eat, although sadly they were closed when we wandered down.

Beautiful house with amazing views and peaceful sounds in the morning. The beds were comfortable, rooms were roomy, and the breakfast was really good. Marian and David were very friendly and attentive to guests needs. Easy 5 min walk into the village. I hope to stay here again.

Rockcrest House was a great place to stay! The hosts are very friendly and attentive to all needs. It's located at a very central location and is walkable to shops and stores. It's also a very great value. I paid much more for other hotels around Ireland that were not nearly as nice.

Beautiful place, very clean. The breakfast was wonderful. When we got to our room, a little boy came to our door. He was five years old and we were told his name was Johnny. He politely extended his hand and shook hands with my husband and “pleased to meet you,”. This made a great impression and we will remember Johnny and the friendly people at Rockcrest House.

Very nice and comfortable accommodations in a beautiful setting with great and helpful hosts. Also, it was the best prepared Irish breakfast that I had in my two week travels in Ireland. Location in Kenmare is also very convenient and an easy walk to town.

Our second time visiting and it exceeded our expectations. Such a warm welcome from Marian and David. Accommodations are wonderfully clean and comfortable. Walkability into Kenmare is unmatched. Breakfast is supurbly served, with delicious and plentiful portions. Can’t say enough about this b &b.
