Lios Na Manach Eco B&B

I sit here reading some pretty rude reviews of this property from 6 years ago. I’m not even sure why they are still listed, but I will tell you they couldn’t be more wrong. Those people are obviously unhappy miserable and negative! This B&B and the owner Brigid could not be more of a wonderful and complete Ireland experience! The property is an enormous family farm with plenty of animals grazing. Rolling green hills and charming cottages are all family owned in an isolated street. The hosts couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating. Maybe it’s because I am a kind person I was met with kindness but Brigid is a sweetheart. Her food is amazing and she even serves her homemade Kombucha! If you are coming to Killarney and need a B&B, this place is a must! It is not in walking distance to anything except cows but if you’re looking for Irish countryside and charm, this is it.

We had a wonderful stay in Lios Na Manach. Brigid was a wonderful host and thanks to her and her daughter we had great information on how to best do the Ring of Kerry and see places that the tourist buses don't see. They also gave us important scoop on the best way to get to the Cliffs of Moher and then on to Galway . Delicious raspberry scones at breakfast. Pretty setting a few minutes out of Killarney town.

This B&B is amazing!!! Brigid is the best host u could ask for!!! She is so welcoming and friendly!! If u r hungry she has the best food there on site, so don’t be concerned about finding a restaurant, there is wine , beer and the best coffee Baileys u could want!!! The room was excellent! If u r looking for a B&B look no father, book it u will love it!! Thank you so much to our host, u r amazing!

Brigid was welcoming, provided wonderful breakfasts, and invaluable knowledge of the local sights. We were three sisters travelling together, and it felt like coming to visits relatives - the kind you want to visit!! She prepared supper for us one evening, and it was delicious - I strongly recommend you take advantage of that! The setting is lovely, relaxing. Cleanliness was top notch. She leaves teas etc out for you to enjoy when you wish. One of the high points of our trip!

Everything was clean and really cute. The breakfast was delicious, especially the home made scones ! The staff was super sweet and friendly and gave us ideas on where to go next during our trip. It is definitely a place I’d recommend

Location feels like the ‘middle of nowhere’ in the best possible sense. Surrounded by fields (with rabbits), laneways and peace and quiet. But it’s only minutes from the centre of Killarney and the INEC. The breakfasts alone are worth a visit for. Brigid clearly loves cooking and feeding hungry guests. She fed us fresh scones, pancakes, bacon, and moreThe fresh porridge with Baileys on top was a definite treat! Brigid knows local trip organisers and destinations of course so she was happy to take time to recommend ones that would suit us. The rooms are very clean and welcoming. Perfect for: people who want a personal touch on their getaway — and who want a breakfast to set them up for the day! Brigid does fabulous dinners as well. Thanks Brigid! Liz & Debbie May 7th, 2022
