Helpful and attentive staff, stunning setting with charming architecture and decor, all situated in magnificent grounds.We didn't have the chance to try the sparking clean pool or sauna, but did enjoy walking alongside the forest. I could easily envisage this being a perfect destination for a multi night wedding party or conference. Our room (number 5) was situated away from the busy road so was quiet and restful. Mattress was especially firm and the room did get stuffy (we had to keep the window and door closed as we had to contain our cats) but a floor fan had been provided to help with this. Room was on the small side BUT perfect for an overnight stay and we appreciated the loo being seperate to the bathroom. The little patio area was a sweet touch. Dinner was superb - nice variety, generous portions for the fine dining price, and delicious. Loved the emphasis on French food and wine. Would seek out this property to stay again. For those planning a longer stay with more distractions, the villages a short drive either side of the Chateau look to have plenty to keep one busy, along with various parks, wineyards etc

Gorgeous dining experience indeed. This is gourmet food prepared by a very creative chef. Most definitely worth the trip there. The setting is just magnificent, decorated with ancient furniture and the big park around it makes it possible to walk in the beautiful Sologne forest. A swimming pool, tennis court, minigolf and even a sauna offer plenty of amenities.

Diner is a must for a good price ! Sitting is excellent between La Ferté Saint Aubain (a big village with a large choice of shopping places and the City of Orléans. Breakfast option must be improved. Too small choice for those who like "english-type" breakfast (meat/eggs/etc.) instead of the common french-type breakfast (pasteries/etc.).

The chateau itself is beautiful inside and out with very individual rooms. It was clean and warm with friendly helpful staff. We had dinner in the restaurant which was good if a little expensive, the breakfast was very good value.

The standard room that we stayed is certainly not a 4* standard room. Let along that the room was dirty but also the carpet has stains, the curtains have stains, the walls are dirty. So it is not only that the room was not cleaned properly but the whole furniture is not a quality of a 4 star hotel. We were really disappointed.
