Went as a guest to a wedding this weekend - wow what a wonderful place - the setting is amazing, the staff all friendly and efficient - the food was out of this world. The whole wedding as a guests point of view was seamless and superb fun, and all on time. Well done guys you do a wonderful job - and also hundreds of thanks for booking the sunny weather !!!

Great location we were only staying one night after a funeral, staff excellent friendly and helpful. We didn’t use any spa facilities as we were not there long enough we stayed in room 208 a Heritage room bed was comfy nice bed linen. Going to say what I think would make my review 5/5, as a women of a certain age I use a small fan at night on my side table there was no bedside plug, they supplied a big fan but I really need a small one as not to blow my husband away.In the bathroom lovely free standing bath a free standing bath caddy next to the bath would be great ,as there are no sides or a shelf to place any shampoos washes etc. More room coasters to protect the lovely furniture would be a plus. Great selection of teas and coffee and so great to have fresh milk and water in the fridge. Had a meal in the evening which was lovely and bar area super at night. Breakfast choice was brilliant and so nice to have such great options for all different diets .I would highly recommend staying here and the small things are only to make it perfect.

Booked 2 weeks ago for afternoon tea then phoned on Friday to confirm they said yes everything was fine for the Wednesday afterwards.had a phone call 2hrs before we we were due to arrive for the booking for them to say they don't offer afternoon tea at that time. Don't bother

We just had the most splendid night away to celebrate our wedding, and we couldn’t fault a thing. From the drive up the to the hotel through gorgeous scenery, the easy parking at the front of the gorgeous hotel, to the warm welcome by Connie, who then went on to give us such a lovely, personal and attentive service through pre dinner drinks and the wonderful dinner. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made our special day even more special. The room itself was gorgeous with the comfiest bed, amazing shower and was well equipped with everything you could need. Not to mention the breathtaking view from the room over the grounds and hills. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious and we had the most wonderful time throughout. Thank you to all the staff, but especially to Connie, who is a credit to the hotel. She has that rare quality of making her guests feel really special. Wonderful! We can’t wait to come back

My Niece and partner were getting married here so we booked the night of the wedding. The day before was unavailable so Dawn recommended a cottage across the road which was excellent. The whole wedding day was brilliant, everything ran like clockwork, the rooms for the service and reception etc were decorated lovely. The staff were very friendly and attentive all day and night. The food was excellent all day. The room we had was again of the highest quality, huge comfy bed, large bathroom and all very clean. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot or cold options. This is a superb wedding venue with stunning country views and I can not highly recommend it enough. We will be returning in the spring for a mid week break.

Wow what can I say from the moment we arrived to leaving we had a wonderful stay. We booked very last minute, but we’re not disappointed with our choice. All the staff were so attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and the room extremely comfortable, we could not fault a thing. The grounds and hotel itself were decorated beautifully and it felt very festive. We had a complimentary upgrade on arrival which was a lovely touch as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. We enjoyed a drink in the bar and library and I think the drinks were reasonably priced and a great selection on offer. We didn’t get a chance to use the spa facilities but will try that next time as I’m sure we will make a return visit when hopefully the weather is slightly better and perhaps we’ll get to see the gardens and outside pool area. We booked dinner bed and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal. Again good choice and everything we ordered was delicious. Breakfast too followed that theme and the chef’s recommendation of Welsh rarebit was superb. I would highly recommend to those seeking a relaxing break.
