Kimpton Virgilio is a gem in the posh Polanco district. We stayed 7. nights and absolutely loved this hotel. The entire staff makes you feel like family and they truly go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable. There is a fun rooftop bar where you can have dinner as well. I loved the location as there so many great restaurants and coffee shops to walk to, not to mention the enchantingly beautiful Parque Lincoln just a short walk from the hotel. We used the bicycles to ride to Museo Soumaya and back which was so fun. I have to give a shout out to Angel, the concierge who reallly made us feel special and provided fantastic recommendations as well as fascinating history of the area and Mexico City as a whole. He was a delightful person to encounter dailey. Also, Rodrigo and the rest of the front desk staff were always very helpful and friendly, as was all of the restaurant and bar staff at Pepe. We plan to visit Mexico City again and the Vigilio will forever be our favorite hotel in Mexico City.

Love it - the hotel is close to the metro a few stops away from the central square. Rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. Even so it is next to big road the sound proofing is good and you can sleep well. Room service is great too. No doubt I pick it again, if I come to CDMX.

The Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico is a new hotel. Its newness shows in any number of ways, both good and bad. First the good: Staff were all friendly. And my room was shiny new and free of signs of wear. Everything in the room worked perfectly. It is true that the room was rather small and that the view was mostly of a blank wall. Since I was by myself and did not spend much time in the room during the day, these latter issues didn’t bother me very much. There were, however, some issues that were also perhaps related to the hotel’s newness. The cleaning staff didn’t empty the wastebasket on the first day and didn’t replenish the Nespresso pods on the second. Perhaps they should start working from a checklist … ? Also, breakfast was only available half an hour later than advertised. And, oddly, only certain guests were offered omelettes. And, as someone who doesn’t eat meat, I was bothered by a cheese-and-luncheon-meat plate on which the cheese and luncheon meat were piled on top of each other. I would also have appreciated labels on the four stew-like dishes on offer—I couldn’t tell what they contained. There is also the issue of billing. When I checked in at 3 p.m., I was asked to pay the entire bill—no problem there. But, when I arrived in my room, I found an e-mail from hotel management informing me that, because the hotel was extra busy, I’d already been charged for day 1. It’s true that I’d opted for a “flexible” rate which required me to agree to pay for the first day whether I showed up or not, but it was a little startling to be charged for a no-show before the earliest possible check-in time—and then charged again when I checked in. It took a week for the double charge to disappear from my credit-card statement. I can’t believe Accor would have approved of this billing procedure. The thing that most bothered me about the hotel was the absence of a minibar. The TripAdvisor website—and also the websites of several booking agencies—all claim that rooms in the Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico have minibars. The Accor website, I’ll admit, doesn’t. But I guess I’ve come to expect that hotels of a certain class would have minibars. And I missed having one, not for overpriced drinks, but for the groceries I bought. I wasn’t, in other words, very enthusiastic about the Novotel Mexico City Centro Histórico, although I acknowledge that, with a few changes, it could most definitely be turned into a very good hotel.

ゲゲストThe location is awesome. The hotel is more than basic, the pictures are a bit deceiving. There wasn't even space for us to put our clothes, no wardrobe nothing. Four days and our clothes had to stay in our bags or around the room.
It also didn't have a good mirror, only one in the bathroom which is not convenient.
The hotel is on a 4th or 3rd floor, I honestly can't remember but it was a lot of stairs, and it's inside a building that resembled a small shopping center.
It's walking distance to a lot of attractions, very good location.
The breakfast was good, freshly prepared for each individual. There's a very nice rooftop, don't miss it.
The hotel is not quiet at all, but I guess it's because of the location, it's hard to get a good night sleep if you're easily awakened :)
Upon arrival the man on the checking desk asked me to fill yet another form that had weird questions like if I liked dogs or cats and he said that I had to take a selfie! He said this was for verification reasons and that ”booking” asks him to do so, I told him I already verified my reservation and that I booked via Trip.com, he insisted at first and then when I was firm he said that it's ok and that there was no need.
ゲゲストPerfect place for a weekend in Mexico City. Everyone was so helpful from the bar staff at the Skybar (great margaritas), front desk, and front door staff. Rooms were nice size and amenities are great. We especially enjoyed sitting at the Skybar everyone morning enjoying the breakfast. Thanks to everyone that made our weekend so much fun!
ゲゲストThe Bristol lies in the upmarket Zona Rosa, which seems to be as safe an area as you can get in Mexico's capital and is convenient for most parts of the city. It's not overloaded with character but is comfortable and my room was very spacious, although the sound proofing left something to be desired. The staff are efficient and helpful. Generally excellent value. The restaurant serves a good range of dishes for most of the day. There is space outside in warmer weather but if inside, watch the step! The are numerous other eateries in the area. For cheap eats, the Fonda Yucateca in Rio Lerma is friendly and does comida corrida for M$70.
This was a surprisingly practical and quaint boutique hotel in Polanco. It is conveniently located across the street from major high-end hotels such as the W Mexico City, which are outrageously priced. The hotel is really an old villa that was converted to a boutique hotel. The rooms are tiny and basic. Essentially a bedroom with a small bathroom and shower areas. The room was surprisingly cold at night. Breakfast was self-serve. Complimentary bottle of gin in the room. This is a budget alternative to the major hotels in the area. Security at entrance of the property and gated. I would return.
