We've stayed here several years in a row, for an annual event we attend... but this year hit a new low. Wow. We won't be returning. It started with our late-ish Friday evening check-in. The desk agent appeared to be the only identifiable employee in the whole hotel. While she was polite and friendly, she was also clearly exhausted, and trying to grab a bite in-between arrivals. Hey Owners, how about you make sure there's more than one person to help guests arriving on a Friday night, so your poor employees can sit for a few minutes and have their dinner? It got even better once we entered our room: there was someone else's *used* washcloth, hanging on the toiletries in the shower, the tub was half-full of water, we were left with no more than 1/8 of a roll of toilet paper (no back-ups to be found anywhere, so we immediately went downstairs to get more), and the secondary toilet paper holder was dangling off the wall, with a dust pile on the floor below. Did Housekeeping even service this room? We were freaked about the level of cleanliness, but so exhausted after unloading all our stuff, upon our late arrival, that we just tried to pretend it wasn't gross and went to bed. The lobby coffee was terrible and complimentary breakfast was entirely unremarkable, without even a single piece of fresh fruit to be found anywhere... not a banana, not an apple, nothing. There were also no milk alternatives (not that this isn't often the case), so just be prepared if you need something other than cow milk. I did use the app chat feature to tell the hotel about our room issues that evening. And I reported it to the front desk agent the next day. No follow-up or action of any kind. No offer of points, or credit to our bill. Nada. Hamptons are usually pretty responsive, in my experience... not this one. On the upside, the location is great, right next door to the terrific Silver Diner and a hop across the street to a number of other wonderful eateries. Also, the 2nd elevator, that's been out of service for yearrrrs, was finally working again, so there's that. After returning home, I attempted to find another way to let management know about our disappointing experiences. They're hiring a GM, and don't have one in place. Explains a lot. Like I said. We won't be back.
What a great hotel. Not just a great city location, but every step was quick and simple. I found a competent and spirited team of workers that were helpful at every turn. There were always guests around the bar for happy hour. The fitness center is big and something you’d expect to find at a big convention hotel. Will be back!
ゲゲストThe service, room and amenities were fantastic. I attended a conference at the Westin only minutes away Much better value and great room! Highly recommend
We stayed at this hotel just for night but it was very good experience, room were with new furniture, full kitchen that was awesome because we were travelling with kids and in this hotel I had opportunity to cook breakfast for them, also outside there is a grill area with sitting places what is very nice , so, we had a very good experience with this hotel
Start with a 5 - take off 1/2 circle because of the road noise, 1/2 for the poor bathroom setup (the soap shelf in the shower sticks out so you can bruise your back, it took five or more minutes to get hot water in the evening, some lesser issues), 1/2 off for the really dirty nightstand and light, and 1/2 off for no EV charger (c'mon, it's 2024, people stay at hotels because they travel and stay overnight). The beds were reasonably comfortable, and earplugs (the 30 decibel blocking kind) took care of the road noise. The hallways smelled of someone cooking but it was fine inside the room and most of the room was very clean - just the nightstand and light were fairly gross. Breakfast was good (it was not grab and go like they list on the web site) , but somewhat limited. As someone else mentioned, the ”balcony” was a concrete slab we couldn't get to because of a locked sliding door that had substantial air gaps (probably made the road noise worse too). The hotel was inexpensive and we were just passing through. I would stay again if nothing better was available, but I would definitely look elsewhere if we visit Richmond again.
