We had an excellent stay at the Charterhouse in Torquay. We stayed in room 14 which was large with an excellent Seaview. An amazingly comfortable bed. Breakfasts were superb with plenty of choices and all hot food cooked very nicely. Lisa was a fabulous host and nothing was to much trouble. Parking on the property could not have been any easier. We will definitely be looking to stay again on our next visit to Torquay.

5 Star all the way. Lisa runs a brilliant B&B, lovely room, warm, very clean, fridge with fresh milk, lovely large comfortable bed. Free parking great breakfast location is great. Try it you will not be disappointed. Bus stops just down the road.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Superb breakfast freshly cooked to order.Really comfortable bed in a spotlessly clean room with a sea view. We didn’t use our car as there was a very frequent bus service just around the corner. Excellent Thai restaurant a short bus ride away —Junjaow. Cockington village well worth a visit.

Just got back from a two night stay at the Charterhouse. Lisa our host was lovely and couldn't do enough for me and my wife. Our room was on the small side but had everything you could want. Exceptionally clean with comfy bed, nice shower and a good choice for breakfast. On the first morning I had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and brown toast, tea and orange juice. On the second morning I had a fab full breakfast with tea, orange juice and toast. Excellent value for money. If you decide to stay here don't miss a visit to Charterhouse Village which is a short stroll up the lane. Absolutely delightful place. Thatched cottages and a 1,000 year old church. Plus a good pub serving great food. We wish Lisa served an evening meal as it would have saved us from having to go out looking for somewhere close to eat.

Well, we had a lovely 2 day break at the Charterhouse and would highly recommend. The comfort of the room and the breakfast is fantastic along with the hospitality. So near to the promenade and with a car park everything is catered for. Hope to return next year.

This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are great and very comfortable. The breakfasts are superb, with local produce and prepared to a very high standard. Lisa, your host, is fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. Only about a two minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes from Torquay harbour where you'll find restaurants and shops. Lots of other things to do close by as well. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel and will hopefully return soon.
