I was droppy off by my tour bus in Yangshuo downtown so I booked a Didi to the hostel for only 9 kuai. Take note that the hostel is not along a major street.
From the pinned location, cross to the other side and walk straight. There is an old building bearing the name Lao Ban Cheng but that is not the one. Head forward and you'll find the neon sign.
The check-in was fast and I was given to a bunk bed room for two people but I was the only one in the room. There is a private toilet and bathroom and they have a water heater and hair dryer.
The location is only near West Street for good food and shopping.
I found a restaurant that offers RMB 68 for a set meal of beer fish, veggies, and stir fried chicken (I think). I don't eat rice so I devoured everything on my own.
The Yangshuo Railway Station is about 50 minutes away from the hostel. You can take a bus from West Street to Downtown Yangshuo for RMB 2 and then bus to the railway station for RMB 22. But I was lazy so I just booked Didi and left the hostel at 8:30. I paid RMB 68. IT was a good decision as I still saw more karst mountains.
The hostel offers basic breakfast of bread and hot drinks but I was not up to it. But this is a big plus for a budget accommodation.
I would book this hostel again if I find myself in Yangshuo again.
