ホテル メトロポール ＆ スパ(Hotel Metropol & Spa Zermatt)

The STAFF was truly fantastic -- as an example, the 4 of us were in a family room, so they moved us to 2 adjoining larger rooms that had become available, for 4 of our 6 nights there -- and did not charge us! It was THEIR suggestion, too! Thet were so helpful with dinner reservations and advice on the mountains, too. LOCATION is perfect, super easy to walk to Sunnegga, and the shuttle to Glacier Paradise is practically next door. Easy 5-ish minutes or so to the main street, restaurants, train station, everything. Stunning VIEW of the Matterhorn from the room! BREAKFAST is lovely, and includes eggs, omelettes, bacon, ham, etc, made to order. The SPA has a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, very welcome after a day on the slopes. Thanks so much to Gabriel, Patricia, Steffi, Yvonne, our lovely waitress from Portugal, and everyone there. We hope to come back. Totally worth it!

We spent 3 nights here in October and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable and spacious, the breakfast was great with an excellent variety of hot and cold food, and the hotel was in a good location within walking distance to everything. But most importantly, the staff were fantastic! You felt as though you were staying with family. Would highly recommend and definately stay here again!

We enjoyed the beautiful view of the Matterhorn from our balcony, during breakfast, and from the pool. We also enjoyed your sauna. Highly recommend Hotel Metropol!

Recommend this older style Hotel. It appears to be family owned and run.. The staff were always helpful. Free transfers from train station. Excellent indoor pool, hot tub, sauna.. Very close to train and restaurants.. Views of the Matterhorn..

The room was clean, spacious and our view of the Matterhorn was like out of a storybook. Absolutely loved the pool and hot tub, which we used every day!

My husband and I had a great trip to Switzerland. When we got to Zermatt, and the HOTEL METROPOL, we had arranged to have massages that evening. My husband, who turned 70 during our trip, had been having high blood pressure. Unfortunately, he had a Vasovagal response during the massage and passed out for a couple of minutes. An ambulance was immediately called and my husband was transported to the doctor, who gave us a clean bill of health. An episode like this is quite stressful; however, everyone working at the hotel helped to make sure we were well taken care of- not just during the episode, but during our entire stay. They continuously checked on us and made sure we were doing well. Since I didn't get my massage that evening, they made sure to get me scheduled the next night with a fabulous masseuse who knew about my previous day's stress and did everything to relieve it. The room was very spacious with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn, which I couldn't get enough of during our stay. The food was great, and the location was ideal! I am so thankful that we stayed at a location where I felt so well taken care of, especially considering our medical emergency. Lovely hotel with a lovely staff!

We loved staying at the Metropole Hotel and Zermatt. The service at the hotel was exceptional, family run and very personal. The a**osphere was friendly, welcoming and always helpful. We were lucky to have two rooms with Matterhorn views. It was the first and last thing we saw each day - Wow! After big days of scenic and enjoyable hiking, we returned to the hotel's swimming pool and relaxed whilst gazing at the Matterhorn. This was a super special four days in Zermatt and we loved every moment at Hotel Metropole.
