ニュージーランドマナワツ･ワンガヌイ地方で、Wi-Fiのあるホテル

「おそらく山頂に最も近い宿泊施設ではないでしょうか。ホテルからは2つの火山錐と周囲の荒野を遠望できます（全室から見えるわけではありません）。ホテルはタラナキ滝トレイルの起点と終点に位置しています。宿泊した夜は快晴で、携帯で満天の星空を撮影しました。 今回予約したのはルアペフールームで、部屋はかなり狭かったです。Ctrip（シートリップ）の写真ではダブルベッド1台と二段ベッドが写っていましたが、二段ベッドの上段は収納式で、普段は壁に収納されていました。使う際は引き出す形ですが、非常に頼りなく、厚い埃が積もっており、マットレスもなく、ほとんど使用できない状態でした。実質的にはダブルベッド1台と簡易ベッド1台という感じです。 ホテルは「エコを重視」しているそうで、シャンプーやボディソープは提供されません（石鹸にはシャンプーと書かれていましたが、実際に使ってみると、本物のシャンプーとはかけ離れていて、髪はきしむし、目にはしみました）。ペットボトル入りの水もありませんし、部屋の照明は暗めです。共有のランドリールームがありますが、利用時間に制限があり、7:00～20:00のようでした。チェックインが遅かったため、利用できませんでした。フロントは夜間無人になり、遅い時間に到着すると、Eメールで送られてくる情報に基づいてセルフチェックインする形です。夜間の食事提供はありませんので、持参する必要があります。部屋には電気ケトルはありますが、キッチンはありません。ホテルから車で20分ほどの山麓に小さな集落があり、いくつかレストランがありましたが、夜間営業しているかは不明です。 チェックアウトは10時で非常に厳格です。ハウスキーピングが時間通りにドアをノックし、1時間あたり25ドルの追加料金を払わない限り遅れることはできません。私は追加料金を支払いました。 このホテルは早寝早起きの登山・ハイキング愛好家やアウトドア派の人に適しており、快適さよりも自然体験を重視する人向けです。」

「Hotel is refurbished and it all looks fresh and clean. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, good lighting and a great bathroom with good shower. Easy walk to square. Thanks to Trip, we had a very good deal」

「It's a really great place, comfy and cozy. The little veranda was cold in the morning but with the curtains, we didn't feel it at all in the room. As our room was more at the back and not so close to the road, we also didn't hear the traffic at all. Really nice accommodation.」

「Suitable for those who look for serenity, strategic location with scenic view of Mount Ngaruhoe right at the entrance if the weather is good. Clean and tidy kitchen area with plenty of kitchen equipment and utensils for cooking. The only downside I would nitpick is that the hot tub is located by the roadside so there’s not much privacy around.」

「Arrived into Whanganui and found the hotel easily. After checking in, very easily, we went to our room. Not sure how old the hotel is, but the hall way & guest lounge very 1920’s with modern touches - comfortable & elegant. Our room was another elegant room with lovely touches accenting the period of the property. Though looking “old” the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a corner whirlpool bath, as well as a shower too. We ate in the restaurant that evening & both of us had a lovely meal. Great stay & definitely recommend it.」

「Good distance to mountain. Quiet room would have liked a kitchen sink plus plates /bowls maybe they provide in other rooms. Restaurant had great service friendly staff and good food .Plus cozy fire」

「房間的設施還是比較齊全的，熱水壺，微波爐，冰箱，電視啥的。而且打開窗户就可以看到北帕的中心廣場。對門就是北京火鍋，也有炒菜。老闆是遼寧人，手藝很好。另外，比較奇葩的是還是用原始的開鎖的鑰匙去開鎖，而且打開301/302的總的大門以後，竟然是兩個門，一個301，一個是302，平生未見。而且冰箱哼哼的響了一晚上。」

「I stopped here just because I was tired of driving. There are a bunch of restaurants around and a supermarket, so in that sense, the location is good, but I don't think there is much interesting in the proximity. The room was great: very clean, spacious, the shower was clean and the towels smelled fresh. Even the shampoo, conditioner and bodywash were very nice, not like the regular cheap stuff you get. So all in all a great place to have a rest.」

「Great hosts, upgraded us to a very spacious unit with our own laundry which was much appreciated after a week on the road. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. I took Neil's advice and went for a walk around the nearby gardens and finished with an icecream from the service station. Fabulous! Would definitely stay again.」
