The whole building was initially painted with gold paint, so it was called the "Golden Palace". With the passage of time, the gold lacquer fell off, only the Buddha statues in the hall were repaired or covered with gold. It is worth mentioning that only men can enter the area near the Buddha statue in the hall, while women are prohibited. Teak Temple consists of three layers with square top and double eaves. Hundreds of teak pillars at the bottom of the building support to form a suspended elevated chassis, which is conducive to ventilation and moisture. The first floor is the main hall, surrounded by a wooden corridor. Close up two layers step by step, with four cornices on the periphery. Wood carvings overlap one another and have a strong three-dimensional feeling. Every corner of the building is decorated with complex decorations and sculptures, making this temple, which has existed for more than 150 years, a classic of wooden architecture.
