Most of the existing buildings are original, which is a well-preserved Huizhou Academy. The academy covers an area of about 2,000 square meters with a building area of 1218 square meters. As a representative of the academy, Zhushan Academy has trained many talents, which is also known as the first ancient academy in the south of the Yangtze River.

The inscriptions on the stone drums on both sides of Zhushan Academy and the large "Zhushan Academy" above the gate are very striking. A wooden screen is erected at the entrance. Both corridors are square stone pillars, and the main hall is huge and spacious.
