Owner is very kind and knowledgable. Helped me plan my trip, provided all gear needed for a winter summit of Huangshan, and explained multiple possible routes. He also drove me to and from Tangkou for meals, and for hiking. Very reliable. Room was clean and the bathtub was super nice after a long day of hiking. Projector and screen worked well, and overall everything was very clean and nice.

For a three-diamond hotel charging almost 400 CNY per night, I expected a little more attention to detail. The room itself was spacious, clean, and tidy, with a large panoramic window overlooking a pleasant row of trees. There was also a nice tea table, which made the room feel cozy. One detail I genuinely appreciated was the care given to the old tree in the garden. Seeing it supported with an IV drip system was both unusual and heartwarming—it showed that someone actually cares about preserving it instead of simply replacing it. However, a surprising number of small issues gradually added up and affected the overall experience. I booked a room with a bathtub, but the bathtub turned out to be rather small and leaked unless a disposable plastic liner was used. There were no bath salts, bubble bath, or any other bath amenities, while the shampoo and shower gel bottles were only 50 ml each. The room initially had only one 1.5-liter bottle of drinking water. I had to call the front desk to ask for regular 500 ml bottles and tea. There was neither tea nor coffee in the room upon arrival. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. There was almost no meat except pork baozi. Boiled eggs were available, but there were no traditional soy-marinated eggs. On the positive side, the purple sweet baozi were delicious, and the sliced melon was excellent—the rind had been completely removed, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, two of the three desserts were stale and overly dry, and some cherry tomatoes still had black spots around the stems. The biggest issue, however, was coffee—or rather, the complete absence of it. There was no coffee in the room, and there was no coffee at breakfast. In fact, breakfast didn't even include tea or plain drinking water. I honestly didn't expect that the rarest item at a hotel breakfast buffet would be... water. For someone staying in a smoking room, a cup of coffee is one of those small pleasures that makes the morning better. Unfortunately, that small pleasure never arrived. Maybe coffee is considered a luxury item here. Overall, the hotel has good potential thanks to its spacious and clean rooms. But hospitality is often about the little things, and this hotel missed quite a few of them. I would consider staying here again only if these service details are improved.

下山で疲れてしまったので、もう一晩部屋を予約しました。部屋はまだきれいに整頓されていました。また、階下のレストランで食事をしましたが、セットメニューはとてもお得で、味もかなり良かったです。ハズレの料理はありませんでした。ホテルの部屋はあまり写真を撮りませんでしたが、オーナーとスタッフのサービスは本当に素晴らしかったです！もう一度おすすめします！

フロントデスクのスタッフはとてもフレンドリーで親切でした。WeChatで小さな欠陥を報告し、前の宿泊客の飲み物を飲んだところ、すぐに別の部屋に変更してくれました。ランドリールームの場所を確認すると、すぐに液体洗剤を用意してくれました。また、黄山風景名勝区へのバス停までホテルからの無料送迎も提供しています。ホテルのロビーでミニツアーの予約もでき、フレンドリーなガイドがパッケージについて話し合い、おすすめしてくれます。彼女は黄山のハイキングマップも提供しているので、簡単に移動できます。黄山ハイキングを始める前に、朝食の品揃えも豊富です。黄山を再び訪れることがあれば、このホテルにまた泊まりたいと思います。黄山北駅まで戻るために、リーズナブルな価格でバンを予約することもできます。運転手は他のホテルから駅までの別のルートを拾う可能性があるので、移動には十分な時間の計画を立ててください。

We had an amazing stay in Hongcun. Such a pretty quaint village. Our homestay was equally wonderful. Our host, Mr Zhang aka Mr Superman, was super helpful and met us at the tourist centre to help with our luggage and lead us to the house, which would have been quite tricky to locate. We stayed in the family room with a loft - very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this homestay snd Hongcun Village.

What an absolute pity...... that we only stayed for one night. It was a totally relaxing and perfect location for us to put our feet up after hiking for 3 days in HuangShan. We booked the detached grand suite which allowed us to have access to a whole traditional home with 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms had its own bathroom and toilet, heating... basically modern facilities and tastefully decorated. For me, it felt like staying in an old traditional home in one of the kung fu movies that I grew up watching. Not only did we have the whole house to ourselves, we had our own private garden (across from the house), where there is a swing, entertaining area and even a stove for us to light a fire. The couple owner are so lovely to deal with even before our stay began. They ensured that they are ready to greet us just outside the village at our arrival time. Please note that no taxis are allowed into the village and all visitors must purchase an entry ticket before entering the village. This can be purchased on Trip.com or at the entrance of the village. The owner lady was on hand to help us and showed us to our accommodation. She had even turned on all the heating in the rooms to ensure that we're nice and comfortable when we arrived. Map and points of interest were also provided for us. As we had to leave early in the morning (before sunrise), the owners happily arranged to have our luggage transported to outside the village where our taxi was waiting for us. It was such a pleasant and relaxing stay that, again, it is such a pity we couldn't have stayed longer. Definitely highly recommend staying at She De Yuan.

Nicely located Hotel in the heart of Old Town. So you can go out and you’re literally there. Due to its location it’s very quiet at night. The style is old school and has a good portion of charme. The Hotel can be easily found and is perfectly accessible by Didi or public bus (to or from the high speed railway station). The owner was very helpful and organized a taxi to the mountains. The room and towels were maintained each day and you could have a nice chat with the owner too. Indeed the shower took a while to get hot and the room was quite cold (mid November), but those are minor flaws regarding the price level you pay in low season. You just need to wait a bit for the hot water and the room can be heated too.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel was very quiet, spotlessly clean, and our room was super tidy. Every day there was tea waiting for us in the lobby along with small snacks, which was such a nice and thoughtful touch. Breakfast really stood out – very different from most Chinese hotels we’ve stayed in. Everything was fresh, high quality, and clearly prepared with care. On top of that, breakfast time was flexible and adjusted to our plans, which we really appreciated. The owner is truly exceptional. He drove us for free to the South Gate of Huangshan and helped us plan our itinerary in detail. Throughout our stay, he constantly checked on us, asked if we needed anything, and genuinely cared about our comfort. On the day we were leaving, we couldn’t get a Didi for a longer trip to Jiangwan – no drivers were available. The owner immediately stepped in and called his brother, who drove us there for the same price as Didi, but in a much nicer and more comfortable car. We were sick with a cold during our stay, and he was incredibly attentive. We had mentioned at the beginning that air conditioning makes our throat and sinuses worse, so he made sure the AC was off in the room. He even told his brother not to use AC in the car during our transfer – something you almost never experience. Amazing owner, beautiful location, top-level cleanliness, and a rooftop view that’s absolutely perfect. We felt truly cared for from start to finish. We loved this place and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended.
