Very well surprised with the room, amenities and service. Free parking across the road, many places to eat
I asked the lady at the reception - Jayne to give me some suggestions re type of food I prefer and she did her best to provide me with the best options. Can say a big Thank you Jayne for your help and positive and warm attitude!
Definitely can raise the thumbs 👍👍 up to this hotel.
We stayed here both Friday and Saturday night and booked on the Thursday, we stayed here 10 years prior!
The staff were fantastic! The food was fantastic, the hospitality was second to none! This is so dog friendly! The guests were friendly and made a magnificent stay, spare of the moment stay away for a couple of nights and really felt most welcome!
Well done to all your team!!
Room 12
We had 2 nights here, 11-13 July. We arrived late, between 10-11pm, and the counter staff was very friendly n helpful.
We did not manage to get dinner due to train delays but the front staff was kind to inform us that we could purchase some cold sandwiches and he would make sandwiches for us. 😊
The room price includes breakfast for which we were glad. We enjoyed the breakfast thoroughly.
The views from the hotel overlooking the St Ives beach is truly amazing. The hotel grounds were immaculately maintained. You must walk through their walled garden … it is well landscaped and very beautiful. It felt like walking in some professionally well curated botanical garden. 👍🏼
Clean, comfortable room with good heating - which was appreciated during a cold snap that coincided with our visit. The wi-fi was reliable, and there was a TV, tea and coffee making equipment and a modern bathroom. Contrary to what some other reviews say, the beds are comfortable with good pillows. There is no fridge or in-room safe, but we did not require those things. The staff were friendly and bar and restaurant facilities were available if required. The ”full Cornish” breakfast was good although not over large. The location is excellent for a range of local services and beaches. Constructive suggestion: add a soap tray in the shower. even if this is just one that clips on to the shower head riser bar.
A clean, well staffed and inviting hotel which is currently going through an upgrade. The rooms have character and the hotel has kept a lot of tradition in it's feel. The restaurant breakfast was efficient, good choice, with friendly staff. The location is amazing, very close to town, beach and wonderful views. We will be returning.

ゲゲストEverything we needed for a weekend break. Loved the names of the apartments, quirky. Plenty of lights and a lovely colour changing mirror in the bathroom. The owner was very helpful. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided, along with towels, t-towel, dish cloth, washing up liquid and multi purpose cleaner. Cutlery, plates, dishes and mugs as well as a microwave, toaster, table and chairs. A lovely bathroom and plenty of room/space. Unfortunately we found the mattress not firm enough and not that we watch the television just put it on to wind down before going to bed. You couldn't watch live TV. You needed to log in on Netflix and channels like that to watch anything. That said we had a lovely weekend break
OOlly reviewsThe Farmer’s Arms is a lovely pub with 4 rooms above. We had a twin room for 2 nights and was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the internet was virtually non existent, which I understand is an issue in the area, but caused difficulties planning. Car park is huge and great location as 5 minutes drive to Harlyn Bay Beach and 10 minutes to Padstow. Highly recommend The Golden Lion for dinner in Padstow and absolutely was a hidden culinary gem 💎
Tthe_wonkIt was excellent. A lot of unreasonable bad reviews about this place but the cleaniness was fine, facilities more than adequate, and the staff was friendly. The on-site restaurant was excellent as well, again great staff, and the food produced looked like the chef took it seriously too. i.e. homemade tartar sauce, homemade sweet chilli sauce, fresh battered fish. Good beer selection on draught too.
