Hotel and facilities are outstanding. Two issues that greeted me when I arrived which took some of the gloss off.
First the check in process was painfully slow (literally, I'm disabled) had to wait far too long to collect my card key. Definitely not efficient.
Second had an additional charge of £14 for parking despite being a blue badge holder and no where close by as an alternative. Effectively taking advantage of my lack of mobility. Worse when I checked the website I had used to book a figure of £10 was quoted.
Gripes aside this is a wonderful place to stay and the breakfast first rate.
We arrived at 12pm and were able to go straight to our home. Hotel is beautiful and clean. We had dinner in the hotel which was very tasty and breakfast had a great selection of hot food and we got to make our own waffles 🤤
Fair & Honest.
Negatives - 1) room (single with double bed) too small.
2) bar staff (gent) too cocky let the team down
3) no comeback when they checked my room out for cigarette smoke (from designated outside smoking area).
Positives -1) entertainment 1st class 2) all staff have obviously been well trained on how to respect customers. 3) very friendly holiday makers hotel 4) location
The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations.
On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep.
Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds.
Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed.

ゲゲストomg from the moment I walked in i was attended to nothing was to much trouble i had a sea view double room there was a act on downstairs very loud was worried about the house but never heard a thing the decor is a bit dated but the friendliness of the staff and yhe feel of the hotel made up for that I had a fantastic stay it does just what it says on the tin I will definitely be goung back
ゲゲストNice service, there is a lot of facilities but I'm going to Blackpool for competition so I have no time to enjoy it. It is quite suitable for family trip. And the tram stop just the walking distance from the hotel it is convenient.

ゲゲストnice place. a little bit you get the feeling that this is a particular kind of investment opportunity for whoever owns it - buy an old Travelodge, operate it for a number of years with minimal maintenance until you run it into the ground and sell the place.

ゲゲストFirstly this isn’t a hotel. It’s a pub with rooms, which are tired and need a refurb ( bath chipped and rusty, toilet cracked and I mean toilet not seat ) evening meal in pub it’s self good and staff good. Prices reasonable. Pub Toilets not big enough given size of restaurant/ lodging/ and the fact that camper van/ motor homes can park on the car park overnight and use facilities. Buffet Breakfast poor and trailered more to the motor home guest’s who only pay £15 a night to stay which includes breakfast. My advice get in early if you want best choice.
