スピルベルク城は13世紀に建てられ、最初はモラヴィア侯爵の邸宅として使用されました。14世紀中頃には監獄に転用され、18世紀にはハプスブルク王朝によって軍事監獄に改装されました。第二次世界大戦中にはナチス・ドイツがここで1万人以上の囚人を収容しました。現在はブルノ市博物館の分館となっており、城壁の展望台からは市内の全景を一望できます。城の建築はバロック様式に改造されており、軍事要塞とルネサンスの特徴を兼ね備えています。

あまり期待していなかったのですが、この街は一目で私を魅了しました。穏やかで本物らしく、どの一歩にも珍しい美しさが溢れています。 特に私を魅了したのは建築でした。魂を持つ古い建物、注意深く見なければ気づかないような細部。アール・ヌーヴォー（セセッション）様式のファサードから、完璧に調和したモダンなタッチまで、どの建物も独自のキャラクターを持っているように感じます。 ブルノは、大きな観光名所ではなく、その雰囲気が心を落ち着かせ、記憶に残る街として私に印象を与えました☺️
