Jardin Majorelle is one of the most unique spots in Marrakech — a calm, colorful escape from the busy streets of the medina. The iconic Majorelle blue, tall bamboo alleys, and exotic plants create a relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for exploring and taking photos. 🌿📸
💙 The bright blue villa designed by Jacques Majorelle and later restored by Yves Saint Laurent is the highlight of the garden. Strong colors, cactus collections, fountains, and quiet paths make the entire space feel like a small artistic universe.
🌵 Even though the garden isn’t huge, it’s filled with plants from around the world — palms, cacti, bougainvillea, bamboo, and many tropical species. It’s a refreshing break, especially after walking through the medina.
🎨 Just outside the garden, you’ll find two cultural highlights that are easy to visit together:
• The Yves Saint Laurent Museum, showcasing the designer’s creations, sketches, and the story of his connection to Marrakech
• The Berber Museum, displaying traditional jewelry, textiles, and heritage pieces from Morocco’s Berber culture
Both spaces are beautifully curated and complement the garden visit perfectly.
💡 Travel tip: Book your tickets ahead of time and choose an early morning slot — the garden gets very crowded later, and the softer light makes photos look much better.
