Usually I do not stay in an established brand hotel. The hotel offered us a corporate rate and we really enjoyed the stay. The room is great. The refurbished Italian restaurant serves yummy and large portion dishes. I wish the coffee and buffet menu could taste better but they are ok. The shower water temperature and pressure are great. You can hear sound from neighbor rooms but they did not bother too much. I will definitely come back.
I spent 7 nights at Protea Hotel Ikeja Select. It was a trip I had made with my wife - who made made the pick of this hotel & done the booking. Anie (the Hotel Manager) attended to us at the reception. She went above & beyond to receive is and make us feel welcome. This lady maintained superb consistency in terms of customer service through out our stay. She deserves to work in the best hotels in the world - She is ”a natural” with guests. The room was okay - Room 138. There was an issue with the hotel floor and water leaked on the floor when we flushed. Beyond that the hotel staff were there to attend to our every need. I liked the proximity to Shoprite. I will definitely be returning and would love to stay in this hotel again. It gave me value for my money. Kudos to Anie, Veronica & Felicia as well as the gentleman who fries our eggs and all the guys at the reception.

Lagos, a bustling metropolis in Nigeria, holds the title of Africa's film capital. With a population of over 15 million, the city has an average income that hovers around $4,000. As the largest city in Nigeria and the largest in West Africa, Lagos features a single light rail system with 11 stations, facilitating its dynamic urban life.
While Nigeria is the second-largest oil-producing country in Africa, with oil exports being a significant source of national revenue, propelling the country to be one of Africa's stronger economies, Lagos takes pride in a different industry. It is not the oil that Lagos is most renowned for, but rather its thriving film industry.
The Nigerian film industry, often referred to as Nollywood, is a major employer, second only to the agricultural sector, with over one million people working in it. The film industry's contribution to Nigeria's GDP is substantial, ranking second behind oil and agriculture. Nollywood, the film production hub, is based in Lagos, making it a cultural and economic powerhouse in Africa.
Lagos, Nigeria, the largest city in West Africa, enjoys a tropical climate with clear rainy and dry seasons. After arriving at the airport and navigating the busy peak-time traffic, I visited the affluent Victoria Island the following day for business and to take in the sights. Here, you'll find modern high-end hotels, cafes, bars, office buildings, and financial institutions. The port and beach area boasts a strip of fine white sand, offering a stark contrast to the old city's chaotic and dilapidated state. This stark difference underscores the significant wealth gap present in Africa. There is a notable presence of Chinese individuals in Nigeria, and making money has become a primary focus for them!
Oh, Abuja! This city has a way of stealing hearts ❤️. Its charm is irresistible, and its beauty, breathtaking. The City Gate is a sight to behold, standing tall and proud as a symbol of the city's strength and unity.
Abuja is more than just a city; it's an experience. From the hustle and bustle of the local markets to the serene beauty of its landscapes, there's always something to explore 🗺️. And let's not forget the vibrant nightlife, filled with music, laughter, and the best of Nigerian cuisine 🍲.
So, if you're looking for a city that offers a blend of culture, adventure, and relaxation, look no further than 📍Abuja, Nigeria.
