「PROS: Great new hotel that's just outside of the Ping Yao's north gate. It was nice to be outside of the old city and get a taste of the local atmosphere. The front staff, cleaning ladies were all incredibly gracious warm and welcoming. The laundry area was well kept, they provided contact solution, womens products and some other extras not usually found in other hotels. Overall the hotel looked spectacular. CONS: I did have a problem with the cigarette smoke in the 1st room we were given and had to look at 3 other rooms before settling on a room across from the ”service” station, all night long there was loud banging and thudding, this wasn't too bad because we were exhausted from our day of walking around. Other than that, we had a great stay!」

這是一次非常愉快的入住體驗。一下高鐵站，老闆娘已經在出站口等候，送我們到古城門口，古城裡麪不通車，老闆貼心的用電動車給我們把行李送到民宿。從古城門口到民宿步行幾分鐘就到了，民宿非常安靜，小院子裏坐着就讓人心靜。老闆已經提前幫我們開了空調，準備了冰西瓜，一口復血。然而這些都不是重點，老闆的貼心處在於房間的小細節，有飲水機，不用自己燒開水，專門的洗衣機，可洗衣服，可烘乾，這真是太方便了，夏日衣服隨便換，不用擔心衣服臭了沒得洗，或者要去洗衣房排隊，衣服不幹，簡直太省心了。除了這些，老闆還送我們去雙林寺遊玩，中午吃飯太曬了，不想走路，老闆老闆娘雙雙出動，用電動車載我們穿小巷子，到飯店附近，退房時孩子遺失了電話手錶，老闆幫忙去可能丟失的地方查監控找手錶，簡直是神仙老闆。大家都可以去感受一下老闆的服務，絕對是旅遊中的一大亮點。

部屋はかなり広く、家族で泊まるには十分な広さでした。ただ、古い家屋にありがちな衛生状態は悪く、木の階段や梁はいつも汚れていました。幸い、オーナーの寝具は良く、畳は子供が転げ落ちても大丈夫なほど快適でした。大通りからそれほど遠くないので、とても静かです。家族連れにはお得感があり、オーナーご夫妻もとても親切です。良い点も悪い点もあります。

We had such a lovely stay here and truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, the husband kindly picked us up from the train station and later dropped us back, which made our travel so much easier and stress-free. The wife checked us in warmly and looked after us throughout our stay, always making sure we were comfortable. Her English was very good, and she gave us fantastic recommendations. The homemade breakfast she prepared for us the next morning was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel like guests in their home rather than just customers at a hotel. Their kindness and genuine hospitality really stood out. The room was modern and very clean, and the hotel itself is so picturesque! Staying here made our experience in Pingyao incredibly memorable. We’re very grateful for how well they looked after us and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

夜遅い時間、宿に着くとスタッフさんがフロントから玄関まで走ってきて出迎えてくれました。 以前の口コミにあったとおり大きな浴槽は湯を張るのに時間がかかりますが、足を伸ばしてゆっくり浸かることができ、身体がよく温まります。 真冬でしたが部屋の中はエアコン以外にオイルヒーターも稼働されており、まったく寒くはありません。 チャーター車の手配もしてくれ、チェックアウトの後、送迎車が出発するところまでスタッフさんが見送ってくれ、とても感動しました。民宿ならではの丁寧で「心づくし」の接客だと思います。２０年ぶりの平遥はとても短い滞在でしたが、次に来るときはこの民宿で連泊します。

We stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property. Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it And it does feel and look like a traditional house. You feel you are going back in time. Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs. He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city. Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions. Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him. Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm. On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour. Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class. The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk. The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

25年の労働節に泊まりました。伝統付きな作りの民家で、明の時代の雰囲気がありとても良かったです。部屋の中は清潔感かあり電気やネットなども完備。シャワーやトイレは現代ホテルと同じ設備で、細かい部分まで配慮されています。特に若い男性スタッフが素朴ながらも親切で、とても気持ちよく旅することが出来ました。宿の中の空間も見応えがあり、通りすがりの観光客が観に来ていました。自信を持って薦められる宿です。

We enjoyed an absolutely fabulous three-day stay at Jing's Residence. The building itself is a very nicely modernized Qing-era building. We've stayed in some similarly ages buildings in Europe and this was right up with the nicest of them. The spaces look very similar to the ones in the museums in town, albeit with bathrooms and more comfortable furnishings. The service was absolutely impeccable. Our room was constantly restocked with complementary drinks and baked goods, and the front desk staff (Crystal and Leo) was helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations to transportation to the train station to us mixing up our departure date (whoops). All staff spoke great English. Afternoon tea was a particularly nice touch: no fee, great service, and a very relaxing atmosphere. Food was light Chinese snacks, not the huge spread of a British-style high tea. Breakfast was a similar relaxing experience. We tried all the of the Chinese-style options and they were all excellent. We did not try the Western-style options. Dinner was a set menu, shown to us in the morning before making the reservation. It was a combination of Western dishes and local Pingyao/Shanxi food. If given the choice we would have preferred purely Chinese food, but it was all very good and honestly the change of peace was probably good-- getting a salad was nice after two weeks in China. The Pingyao Beef was the highlight: big cubes of high quality meat, easily my favorite of the three places we had this dish. The bar had a nice selection of Western wines, Scotch, etc, but I was disappointed to not see any local rice wine or Baiji. Air conditioning worked very well in our room, easily getting the temperature down under 20C even at midday on ＞30C days. Overall I really can't recommend this place enough: this hotel was really a highlight of our trip.

平遥古城の雲頂軒は素晴らしい滞在体験でし​​た。ぜひおすすめします！ 絶好のロケーション：古城内の静かな路地にひっそりと佇む宿は、まさに喧騒の中のオアシス。南街からほんの数歩の距離なので、食事やショッピングにも非常に便利でありながら、夜は静かにゆっくり休むことができます。 心温まるサービス：オーナーとスタッフの方々は、この上なく温かく迎えてくれました。事前に連絡をくださった後、城門まで迎えに来てくださり、荷物も運んでくれました。チェックイン時には、地図をくれただけでなく、古城の観光ルートや観光客が陥りがちな落とし穴を避けるためのアドバイスを丁寧に説明してくれました。さらに、地元ならではの特産品を扱うお店まで教えてくれ、家族経営ならではの心遣いを感じました。 雰囲気：中庭は典型的な山西省の商人の中庭様式で、シンプルながらも優雅な佇まい。赤い提灯と灰色のレンガの壁が、写真撮影に最適です。土壁の部屋は清潔そのもので、寝具は乾いていて快適でした。北国らしい趣と現代的な快適さが見事に融合しています。夕方、中庭でお茶を飲みながらおしゃべりをしていると、時間がゆっくりと流れていくように感じました。 期待以上でした。細部にまで行き届いた配慮、たっぷりとお湯が出るお湯、そして強力なWi-Fi接続。オーナー自らお茶を淹れてくれ、出発時にはちょっとしたお土産までくれました。このような温かくパーソナルなサービスは、チェーンホテルでは決して味わえないものです。 要するに、雲頂軒は古都の魅力と家庭的な快適さを完璧に融合させた宿で、平遥を訪れる際には理想的な滞在先です。次回も必ずここに泊まります！

Client service and proactivity needs to be improved. The hotel does not give any notice in advance that taxis cannot reach the hotel. We had to walk for 2 km with our luggage to reach the hotel. We had to ask the reception for a taxi on the day of departure. It never crossed their minds that we may need one instead of walking another 2 km! Lack of initiative ans sense of service Disappointing for one of the best hotels in town
