Coming to South Africa for the first time it comforted me to stay in a familiar name hotel. We utilized the airport shuttle. A trainee accompanied our driver. There was a mix up with the number of people so there was not enough room in the car for all. So the trainee stayed at the airport (to be picked up later) while the driver took us to the hotel. So sacrificial and nice! We enjoyed the hotel decor and the relaxed atmosphere the couches offered in the restaurant. We stayed in a suite which was amazing. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with anything.
Very nice modern and luxurious decor, proactive and welcoming staff. Rooms are quite cosy, would recommended for couples or solo/business travellers.
The bar and restaurant services delicious and decadent food. Location is very central and close to everything, but would receive recommend vehicle access, as there are not many things in walkable distance.
Has a great night life scene, is popular amongst very hip club hoppers and social scene.
Location excellent. Breakfast and service very good. Clean room. We stayed here one night and the only issue was room location. We backed up to the pool area and it was a bit noisy at times. Aside from that a great value with the waterfront as a neighbor.
What a place! From the moment we pulled up the drive, we were charmed by this city centre oasis. The building and grounds speak for themselves, and are immaculately kept. Such a warm welcome from Busi and the reception team, felt at home right away. The room was fantastically appointed and just out of this world comfortable on all fronts. Housekeeping team were amazing with so many thoughtful touches everyday. We had dinner in the hotel at both the Chef's Table and Verandah, and loved them both. Such different experiences and neither should be missed. The team at the Verandah, like the others, were just amazing. We apologies for missing anyone, but thank you in particular to Thabisa, Nkanyiso, and Mandu - made our night with old friends so special! The Chef's Table is something truly special and is a must for anyone staying at the Nellie. Chef Issac and Sommelier Laz were such incredible personalities that showcased the Cape in the best possible way. A really clever setting that gives you all the feels of a restaurant but in the heart of the hotel's kitchen. The Planet Bar is an elegant and hugely comfortable space, but yet again, the people make it shine! The whole team here were full of such enthusiasm and warmth, just the embodiment of hospitality - thank you! Particular thanks to Benson and Sim - feel like we left with new friends. We would also be totally remiss not to thank Muchi and his team, including Kimberley at the concierge. They were so slick at orchestrating our trip - can thank you enough! All in all, we cannot praised this hotel enough. The physical parts of the hotel are stunning, but the soul of this place is brought by its people. Thank you Team Nellie!

MMaxim KeynoThe hotel has a convenient location in the center of Cape Town. The rooms are comfortable enough for one or a young couple. If you plan to walk around the center - it's quite easy. I got to the Waterfront by walking in 20 minutes along busy streets and did not feel any danger anywhere. Small shops and supermarkets around the hotel allow you to cover all your everyday needs.
The breakfast is quite meager, but literally around the corner on the next street you can find good cafes where you can have a great breakfast for a reasonable price and a supermarket where you can buy ready-made food.
Immediately to the right of the exit from the hotel is the entrance to a beautiful park, from where wonderful views of the mountains open.
The staff is responsive and helps to solve all problems.
The only drawback is the noise from the air conditioning systems coming from the yard at night.
